Demi looked around, or rather tried to, it was pitch black. She had heard another voice, so maybe someone had come to her rescue, the girl sighed. 'Okay, dad always told me to assess the situation. I'm blind, there's a mad guy attacking me and some random person protecting me. I'm completely defenceless and the only thing I can do is scream. So that didn't help at all. I'm stuck.' Now that she couldn't see she strained her ears for sounds, her nose for some scent, she felt her way to the alley wall and clutched to the rough bricks, backing into a bin and falling over with an oomph. Demi shook as she heard Castor shout from above her, so that other person... Pollux... was he gone? No, because Castor seemed to be shouting to him, or someone like that. She rubbed her arm now, it still hurt, but since she doubted that Pollux could see her she felt safer trying to make sure it was alright now. Wincing and screwing up her face when she touched a sore spot. 'It's not too bad, so I should probably...' Help how? Scream in the guys ear? As she calmed the air around them became warmer, till it was just as warm as anywhere else in the town today. It was quite humid in the alley though, that struck Demi now. She turned and felt around, scratching her bare arms on stones and sharp things, then she felt it. Picking the dustbin lid up as quietly as she could the girl turned around, holding it infront of her. She still couldn't see, and it made her feel even more helpless. Then she concentrated on the water particles in the humid air, the ones settled on the lid, freezing them. The lid was now a lot stronger and harder. 'This is all I can do. I hope it works.'
Demi waited patiently, trying to get her bearings. She ran towards the place where she thought Pollux might be, and lifted the rock solid lid up to head height. She kept running hoping to get this right. Quickly she brought her arm back and thrust it forward.

“See Castor? I told you that nothing would go wrong and you thought I would actually hurt the civilian? Have fun Castor!”
Has to be multiple personality disorder, she decided. The dominant personality at the moment must have been nasty if he was attacking an innocent girl for no reason. She listened as he told 'Castor' to "have fun". Although, now that she thought about it, she wasn't sure whether it was normal in other cases for the different personalities to be aware of each other's existence, at least not until the original assumed control again. She was more than a little satisfied to hear a quiet thud as her beam of red light struck the boy in the stomach, followed by another as he fell to his knees on the hard ground of the alley. He soon recovered though, and she felt a breeze blow upward, stirring pieces of trash that were scattered around her feet and whipping her ruby-colored hair about her face. At first she thought he had fled, but then his voice floated down to her from above, forming the beginnings of an apology, and she knew he was on the roof of one of the buildings making up the alley. He cut himself off though, and when he spoke again, it was just to repeat "have fun" to his gentler persona. A whirlwind began to form, quickly growing in strength until it threatened to rip apart the surrounding buildings. Prism deftly tied her waist-length hair into a ponytail with a white ribbon she kept for the specific reason that her glossy hair could often get in the way during a battle. "Ok, now you've just gone and pissed me off," she muttered.
She noticed that the air was slowly turning warmer, and dimly wondered why that was. She heard a nearly inaudible rasp of something scraping against concrete, and wondered what it was the girl was doing. She heard rapid footsteps, as if she were running, and then some cold, unknown object whistled past her cheek. I wonder what the heck that was. Turning her attention back to the situation at hand, she focused her powers, and her body shimmered briefly in a cloud of rainbow light, like a reflection in a puddle that has been disturbed, and then she was gone, reappearing behind the boy on the rooftop, in the open sunlight. Ah yes, this was more like it. Plenty of light to work with. She stepped closer to the boy, and gripped both his shoulders with her hands. "Boo."

Castor was now a bit nervous. “I hope they don’t attack me.” thought Castor to himself. He shifted his calmer and serene wind to try to seek Pollux from the dark alleyway. He closed his eyes and concentrated once again. This time he might be able to get Pollux out of the alleyway so they can sort things out with Winter and this mysterious stranger. If thing’s go bad this may be more “painful” then it has to be. “Calm and soothing wind.” mumbled Castor. Castor then felt the stinging of his wounds. It slightly tampered his concentration which will be one mistake he will later regret. For that split second he lost his concentration over where everyone was. Once he regained it he didn’t see the stranger. Then he felt something grab his shoulders and before him was the stranger that attacked him. The warmer air around him swirled fast. Not to harm the stranger but to keep him from freaking out. If he did this Pollux would surely take over his body. He then said “I’m sorry for what my friend has done. Anyway we can talk?”
Pollux was still in the shadows savoring the moment. He then used his wind, a more rougher and cold wind, to seek out his enemy that attacked him. He then gave a small smile and charged at the direction at winter. But, instead of using his sword Pollux changed it into a ball of focused wind and threw it towards his target. He knew harming winter was unforgivable and he didn’t want that. This would “slightly” nudge them to the wall.

Winter growled, she'd missed. This situation was starting to annoy her. 'Well, any other plans now? Nope. I can do even less than before... and these people are f***ing invincible! Arghh!! If this doesn't stop soon...' Winter's normal personality seemed to slip away temporarily, and all she felt was anger. Of course she had a slight mental block with her powers, they often worked when she didn't want them to... would this be the same? She sighed heavily.
"Holy-!" Winter just about managed to dodge the ball of focused wind, but that didn't help the situation inside her head. 'They're attacking me!' 'But why attack them back?' 'Cause I should!' 'No I shouldn't.' She took a deep breath as anger rose in her chest, slowly she felt the temperature in the alleyway rise, it only stopped at around forty degrees. Then she concentrated on her own body temperature and lowered it to normal body temperature (around thirty-seven degrees I think). "I hate to actually do something, and spoil everyone's fun, but this is going to stop." Some part of Winter's body had just taken over, and her fear was starting to creep back, but she couldn't back down now. No, way. She was going to try and keep this up, try her hardest.
[Sorry it's short, but I'm writing Blackfire's bio right now, and describing her personality in more than 120 words is hard.]

“I’m sorry for what my friend has done. Anyway we can talk?”
"Oh yes," Prism said sarcastically in the boy's ear. "Let's sit down, have a cup of tea, and chat while your "friend" continues attacking an innocent girl." She heard a bang from below, followed by a shattering sound, as if something brittle had broken into pieces. She squeezed his shoulders tighter, her rainbow-colored nails pressing lightly on his skin. "If you're so sorry, help me stop him, and we can talk later." With that, she released the boy and stepped back, raising a hand as she did so. Another beam of red blazed from her hand, shearing off a corner of the building they were standing on and allowing more sunlight to stream into the alley below. She made sure that the angle that she shot the ray of light wouldn't harm the girl or the boy in the alley, or any innocent civilians that might be close by. She didn't like destroying things, but it wasn't like the city could bill her, plus she had kind of been forced to. She could only teleport into sunlight, not out of it, and it wasn't like she could have jumped the twenty or so feet to the ground below. Not without breaking a few bones and getting a concussion anyway.
She teleported back into the alley, and glared at the boy advancing on the girl. This must have been another of his powers; to be able to split both personalities into separate beings. "Enough of this!" She was in no mood to get into an unnecessary battle in such a cramped space. She bent the light around the boy, imprisoning him inside a sphere of light. Unlike her usual shields though, she made this cocoon airtight, depriving the boy of any air that he could use as a weapon. After a couple of minutes she would release her hold on it and allow it to break down. She had no desire to suffocate him, but she had no problem with making him pass out.

Castor asked quickly “What are you doing?” Since the situation isn’t the you average disabling the enemy situation. “What is happening Pollux?” thought Castor hoping Pollux would hear. “Something surrounded me! d**n, I can’t get out!” said Pollux to Castor. He was beginning to lose balance and began to lose conscious. One weakness Castor and Pollux had been that if one is affected so was the other. This is mostly due to the fact that they haven’t “full” learned the full extent of this ability. “Please stop.” said Castor to the stranger who seemed to have trapped Pollux. Castor too was having a hard time breathing. He began to lose balance also and fell down in the alleyway.
“d**n it!” mumbled Pollux. He then lost conscience and closed his eyes. A few seconds later he began fading away into thin air. Though Castor, having the original body, was unconscious both Castor and Pollux were bickering deep in their mind. “I told you this would happen.” said Castor. Pollux was silent for a few seconds. “Well, it’s not my fault! All you could have done was smack the shield and out I go!” yelled Pollux. Castor who was now trying to calm down said “If I did you would of hurt them.”
“Screw them! What about us!?”
“Please, Calm down.”
“You know what! Whatever, the next time-”
“The next time, I pick our battles. It is not with civilians and it’s not with anyone with superpowers. We should be together on this remembering?”
“Fine…”

Winter blinked and stared at the unconscious Castor/Pollux. Then she looked at herself. She probably looked like someone had robbed her. And they had, she'd been robbed of her dignity, and Winter didn't like that. Her thin arms were covered in gashes and her right arm throbbed from when she had landed on it, but it didn't look to severe. "Dad's going to kill me," She muttered under her breath, surveying the dirt ridden jeans, and thinking of how much her father hated to see her do anything other than socialize and study. Then it occurred to her, the other person. She turned her head towards the gate quickly and then looked around. She managed to spot a girl. 'Eep, this isn't going to go well, I feel aggravated, she just saved my sorry butt and the last person I met tried to kill me... I'm gonna kick her.' Of course it wasn't that Winter wanted to do the other girl any harm, but it was a nervous reaction. She slowly took a step toward the person, trying her utmost best to keep calm. The sudden heat all around them faded away, and yet again it was colder than usual. This time Winter hadn't meant to do it, but it happened. She slowly tried to brush some dirt from her jeans to make them look more presentable for everyone, but the wet patch had almost dried and picked up more dirt. 'Ughh, I look a state. I should go roll on the floor of the public toilets. Ah well, homes not too- oh snap, Jake. Stupid curious little Jake. If he comes down here I'm doomed to a painful death from Dad and everyone at school.' Winter shook her head, her gaze rising to the person who saved her. "Ehh, hey, thanks for that. Can I ask your name?" 'Don't shake, please don't shake.' And luckily enough her voice stayed reasonable, despite being a little higher due to her brain trying to take in everything that had happened.

Ah, Prism thought as she saw the boy on the roof stumble, then go limp and fall off the roof of the building back into the alley. Not exactly according to plan, but... She guessed that whatever happened to one happened to the other when they were split apart. Which would mean that the boy she had trapped would be unconcious as well. She allowed the sphere of light to dissolve, but when it disappeared there was no one inside. They must have joined themselves together again just before they passed out. Or maybe it just automatically happens whenever they get knocked out. She walked over to him and sighed when she saw the damage the fall had done to his body. He had numerous bruises, several areas had been rubbed raw, and his right leg was broken. Placing her hands on his chest, she concentrated, and an aura of rainbow light surrounded them as her eyes turned white. She pushed her lifeforce into him, directing it toward the injured parts of his body, telling it what to heal. The bones in his leg mended, bruises faded away, and skin grew back over the places where there no longer was any. There was slight swelling in his brain as well, and she brought that down, making sure his life wasn't threatened by it, but also left him unconcious, so she could talk with the girl for a few minutes uninterrupted.
"Ehh, hey, thanks for that. Can I ask your name?"
Keira smiled warmly at the girl, and offered her a slightly tanned hand as she did so. "My name is Prism. What about you?" She looked the girl over as she waited for a response. She had various cuts and scrapes, most of them located on her arms. She nodded toward the injuries and said, "I can heal those, if you like." She turned to look at the boy again, asking the girl as she did so, "What was that all about anyway?" It hadn't seemed like she had done anything to provoke him, not as far as she could tell anyway. Even if she had, trying to cut her into ribbons with a sword made of razor-sharp wind seemed like a bit of an overreaction. But then she remembered what the darker side had said to his kinder counterpart, that he hadn't actually intended to harm her. Why attack her at all then? Unless it had been to draw Prism out, to fight a superhero. But, that just brought her back to the same question; why the heck would someone want to do that?

"My name is Prism. What about you?" "I can heal those, if you like." "What was that all about anyway?" Winter's head jerked back towards the unconscious boy lying on the alley floor before returning to Prism. She crossed her arms in a sort of self-hug. Attempting a smile she took a deep breath to steady herself. "My name's Winter. It's okay, these are fine." She added indicating the cuts on her arms. Slowly she unwrapped her arms and ran her fingers through her short hair. What was that about? She couldn't help but ask that. 'He seemed all nice and normal, then suddenly he just turned into this... horrible person?' She couldn't think of a way to describe this and decided it would probably make her look much saner if she didn't look like she was day-dreaming. "I have no clue what he was doing, he just attacked me. I wonder who he was," She wandered off almost drifting into thought again, a dreamy look showing on her pale features, before snapping out of the day dream and looking at Prism. "Thanks for helping me, Prism. That a nice name by the way." She spoke steadily but she was shaking, inside her head she scolded herself for the lack of guts. 'Lie on the floor, nice. You are definitely not going to die that way Demi.' She thought, but deep down part of her wished she wasn't so helpless, wished she could have just defended herself. But her father wouldn't have that. Not over her dead body. She sighed. "Should we just leave him there?" She spoke more to herself than Prism, glancing at Castor/Pollux body, not knowing which of the two of them lay there.

Castors mind then “light up”. His eyes were still closed but he could hear the ruckus Pollux was making. “You are one idiot when it comes to fighting you know Castor?” yelled Pollux. It felt like he was banging on Castors head making it throb. Either that or the blow could have done that. Castor’s eyes slowly opened. He looked around for a moment. “I’m so sorry. He sometimes gets out of hand.” said Castor get up slowly. He looked around to see the two girls standing there. “My deepest apologies.” said Castor as he stretched. His bones felt a bit cramped but not so much that it would be a nuisance. He looked at his arm and was a bit overcame by the fact that it had “healed”. “Well that is interesting.” thought Castor.
“So she healed you. Big deal.” said Pollux. He didn’t want to admit it. But, anyone could tell already that he was also interested in it. Castor just ignored it like it was nothing though. He then looked around to check the damage and pray the “fine” isn’t to heavy. “Well it looks look that bad.” said Castor jokingly. He just hoped that this doesn’t sever a chance of making some new friends.

"My name's Winter. It's okay, these are fine. I have no clue what he was doing, he just attacked me. I wonder who he was. Thanks for helping me, Prism. That's a nice name by the way. Should we just leave him there?"
Prism smiled at Winter. "It's what I do. And thanks. Your name is nice too." She turned to the boy as Winter voiced her question and sighed. The boy was still unconscious. "I would love to, but I doubt it would be a good idea to let him run loose around the city. The Titans will probably know what to do with him." If I had a way to contact them anyway, she thought to herself. I really should see about getting one of those communicator things. She couldn't exactly carry the kid to Titans Tower. True, she was stronger than she appeared, but she wasn't confident that she could lift a boy who looked like he weighed about thirty pounds more than she did and was a good 6 inches taller. It would be...awkward. Of course, she could teleport him, but she was a little curious to see what this guy was all about. Half the time it had seemed like he hadn't wanted to fight. Besides, innocent until proven guilty and all that crap right? She crossed her arms and waited to see what would happen. A few minutes later, the boy stirred and looked around, then opened his mouth and spoke.
"My deepest apologies.”
"Save it," Prism snapped. She was in no mood for small talk. This guy had just ruined what was turning out to be a pleasant, not to mention ordinary, day for her. As such, she was mildly pissed. She didn't resent Winter or anything; she hadn't started this confrontation. But this kid had some explaining to do. The rainbow aura surrounded her body again. "Listen buddy, unless you want me to drag you off to the Titans to see what they make of you, you're going to tell me what the heck you were thinking attacking this girl when she hasn't done anything to you. You're going to explain everything, and you're going to do it clearly, or you're going to be out for a lot longer than ten minutes." To emphasize her point, a beam of red light lanced out of her open palm, striking the ground to the left of his face and blowing a nice portion of the cement into little gray splinters of stone. "I suggest you start now."

Winter couldn't help but be shocked by Prism's sudden change of attitude. Part of her steamed at how they seemed to think that she was useless, but most of her flinched when Prism snapped at who Demi had now concluded was Castor. From what she had gathered Pollux had a different air around him. A vicious air. Slowly she looked towards Castor. She didn't know if she could forgive him, he had scared her quite a lot. 'Understatement. He scared the-' She cut that thought off. Denying that he had got to her. Then Prisms mentioned the Titans. She'd heard of them from her father. He said they were 'no good freaks who only got in the way'. Demi couldn't help it now. "The Titans?" She was speaking more to herself than anyone else. "Aren't they...." She trailed off, without the guts to state the opinion which she'd gained on them infront of two strangers, especially since one of them seemed to be friends with them. She sighed and surveyed the scratches on her arms yet again. This morning she hadn't planned for any of this. At that moment a slight ringing was heard. Demi hastily pulled her phone out of her pocket. 'How the heck did it survive all that?' She asked herself before shrugging and answering it. Across the line she heard her fathers angry voice muttering obscenities and various other things before he cursed her for not being home when she was meant to be. She sighed, and apologized, glancing at the other two. What to do? Go home to avoid further trouble or stay around and wait for the answers she wanted so desperately? Part of her mind acted before she was aware. "I'll be home soon Dad. I'm with a couple of friends right now." Demi sighed as she hung up. She didn't have friends. It was an excuse. She turned to Castor. Her face set. "Why did you do that?!" Winter knew that she would apologize for raising her voice later, but she had to now.

“Oh, well my friend tends to be a bit… battle hungry at times. But, he means well. He doesn’t really mean to hurt anyone.” said Castor in response to everyone’s verbal attacks. Castor then felt a bit uncomfortable. “Thanks a lot Pollux” murmured Castor. “Oh you’re welcome. Sometimes you need to a little nudge into battle.” said Pollux in his mind. Caster then turned to Winter and said “Well, I guess It’s time for me to go.” said Castor. The wind blue calmly. Castor then started to walk away. He was hoping for a quick get away before he had to say more. “Where are you going?” asked Pollux in Castor’s mind.
“Away from this area.”
“Haven’t you forgotten we were supposed to go the library to meet Lasius.”
“I’ll find another way to get there. Besides the stunt you pulled made us 5 minutes off schedule already.”
“Just ask them again!”
“No, we have been to mean to them. I think we should try our lucky on someone else.”
Castor then stopped for a minute. It was Pollux trying to make Castor turn around. But ,Castor resisted and walked forward slowly. They concentrated so much in their mind they forgot how weird they looked outside of it.

"The Titans? Aren't they... I'll be home soon Dad. I'm with a couple of friends right now."
Prism turned to look at Winter when she mentioned the Titans, only for her voice to trail off before she voiced her question. She raised an eyebrow at that, but didn't pursue the issue; she had more pressing matters to deal with. She remained motionless, standing there with her upraised hand facing the boy, ready to unleash another blast of concentrated light if he decided not to cooperate. Her thoughts drifted as she waited for him to speak, and only dimly heard Winter repeat the inquiry that she herself had made. Why did she lie to her father? Granted I am on her side, but I wouldn't call myself her friend yet, and that guy certainly isn't. She gave a mental shrug. It wasn't her business. Her business was to apprehend jerks like this kid and other more sinister characters when they started making trouble. Her attention snapped back to the boy as she heard him speak.
"Oh, well my friend tends to be a bit… battle hungry at times. But, he means well. He doesn’t really mean to hurt anyone. Well, I guess it’s time for me to go.”
Prism had to laugh when the boy started to walk away. Did he seriously think she was just going to let him go after what he had done? This time the beam of light that erupted from her palm was orange. It shot past his head in a straight line, just close enough to brush his hair, before smashing into the alley wall in front of him and blasting a chunk out of it. Prism waited until they could no longer hear the sound of cement fragments bouncing off the ground before she called loud enough for him to hear. "Not a chance. Perhaps you misunderstood me. Which I find hard to believe, because I'm confident that I made myself perfectly clear." She paused for a moment before continuing. Maybe he really was a little dense. "You are going to explain to both of us why you did what you did, and exactly who this "friend" of yours is. Now get back over here and do it, or I'll haul your butt off to prison without consulting the Titans at all." Watching him out of the corner of her eye to see if he complied, she turned to Winter and nodded at the scrapes and cuts on her arms. "You sure you don't want me to take care of those?"

The girl watched Prism threaten Castor. She felt intimidated at the very least. And then Prism kept mentioning the Titans. If they were the same people she thought they were then she would voice her opinion soon. No matter what it was. Then a voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "You sure you don't want me to take care of those?" Winter looked at Prism, she slowly shook her head. The shock of the past, say, space of time? She'd lost track of how long she'd been out. Before she locked her eyes on Castor again she held her gaze on Prism. If I ask, what will she think? She thought carefully, nervous about even what she was thinking. "Erm, Prism?" Argh! I'm going to die of nerves before I get this out. Just say it! Demi urged herself on, hoping that she would be able to blurt it out sometime. "Aren't the Titans, just- just- freaks?" The blond and brunette girl winced slightly, knowing how harsh her words probably sounded. To her they were what she had been told for most of her life and what she had come to believe. No doubt I'll get shouted at for that. She thought sighing inwardly, then glancing at her watch. Oh heck no! I'm late. Very, very, very late! Dad's going to kill me. What do I do? Winter's mind was stuck in an argument with itself. And, unaware, she had walked over to the closet wall and punched it in frustration. Only when she felt her knuckle collide with brick did she realize. Growling under her breath the teenager felt the temperature in the alley rise, along with her anger. Then she became fully aware of her actions and a wave of shame washed over her. She hung her head, some stray hair falling into her eyes, then she directed her gaze at Castor's feet, muttering something like "Please just explain." in a resigned kind of voice.
