Demi closed the shop door. She was bored, no doubt about it. She could go home and listen to her father. She could go and save Jake from the above mentioned father or she could just ignore her family all together. Sounds good. She tucked some of her blond-and-black hair behind her ear and crossed the road. On the other side she bumped into someone. "Eep! Sorry!" She apologised quickly and hurried off. 'Clumsy.' She thought to herself. Well, that couldn't be helped. "Ooh, a new book in that series?" She stopped in the middle of the pavement and looked through the window. Several people grumbled at her but most just shoved past. Demi stopped staring. 'Oops' Was the first thing that came into her mind. Making her way into the shop she counted up the money she had in her head. 'Enough.' She picked up the thick hardback book and paid at the counter.
Outside she headed down the street, she checked around before vanishing down a thin alley to an almost deserted cafe. Slipping down into a hard chair she opened the book, only looking up to order a glass of water. She was a regular here, it was a place that her father had no clue even existed. Making it Demi's personal heaven. It only struck her then, as she sat sipping water and reading, that is was a hot day. She cursed under her breath, and unzipped her thin jacket. She was going to boil! "Ugh... It's way to hot today." She muttered and took another drink. It wasn't even above 30 degrees in reality, but Demi was being dramatic. "Ah! Oh..." Demi stared at her lap. She'd dropped the glass and spilt water all over her lap. The glass rolled off of her lap and smashed on the floor. Demi sighed in frustration. This would cost a lot. At least she was a bit cooler now.

Castor had walked in the cafe door confused. He was holding the paper, which had the directions, gentle so he doesn't crumple it up. He always had a habit of keeping everything as neat and nice as possible. “This isn’t a library.” thought Castor to himself as he looked around. He had only lived here for a few days so he had no clue were everything was. He noticed the breaking sound of glass and looked to see what broke. He didn’t like anything broken or missing. It made him feel like it was incomplete. Anyway, Castor noticed that she, the person who dropped it, is one of the few people who looked like a nice person to ask for directions. Castor walked nervously, almost bumping into a chair on the way there, over to lady who seemed somewhat upset. “Ok Castor, you can do this. Take a nice long breathe and just ask for directions.” thought Castor to himself when he was a few feet away from her. “E-excuse me, Do you know where the library is located? The directions I got seemed to be incorrect.” asked Castor. Castor didn’t want to get any closer because of the broken glass fragments in front of him. He was always told to keep clear of broken glass ever since he was a kid.
“Oh for crying out loud! Castor you are just to wimpy.” said Pollux in his head. Pollux was getting really fed up with Castor’s timid and kind personality. He wanted him to toughen up already so they can get their objectives done. “Here let me take over. I’ll show you how it’s really done!” yelled Pollux to Castor although no one could hear Pollux but Castor. “No, please don’t!” said Castor out loud. Everyone in the room was looking at him with either a disgusted or pity expression on their faces.
Soon Castors soft face became hard and the paper which he was holding was crumpled up. “Look, I have a certain deadline to meet. So is it possible for you to give me directions?” asked Pollux. Pollux was always the strait forward kind. I guess you could say he is a hypocrite since he is very deceptive himself. Pollux walked closer and stepped on the broken glass without being bothered by its cackling noise under his feet.

Demi sighed and stared at her wet lap. She resisted the temptation to just walk off. How would it look if she walked down the street like that? She could barely go anywhere as it was, because her father was so famous. So what to do... 'I could evaporate- no, no, no, I'm not going to do anything like that. Remember how it ended up last time. ' 'Yeah, but this would be on purpose, so it would work... right? Yeah it would!' A mental war was going to break out if she couldn't distract herself. “Look, I have a certain deadline to meet. So is it possible for you to give me directions?” Demi looked up at the person. 'Ah! New person, new person, Oh gosh, oh gosh!' She was panicking, new people freaked her out and this person looked, erm... intimidating? Now she had two problems! A soaking lap, that was quickly getting colder despite the warm sun shining down on her and this person who seemed to scare her more than her father on a bad day! She shivered, looked back at her lap and then up again. "Um, er.." She stuttered, wincing at the sound of cracking glass fragments. She looked from left to right and right to left, there were only a few other customers in the cafe. Then before she could help herself she freaked out. Just lost it. Her body took over, swinging her right arm, her stronger arm, up and straight towards the face of the teen in front of her. She was used to doing this. Accidentally attacking people, it happened a lot. Being so nervous Demi thought she'd be able to tame it, but no. At least she wasn't that strong. She thought.

Pollux caught jumped back a bit to just barely dodge the blow although it did barely hit his cheek. “What the heck was that for?!” yelled Pollux angrily. No one had ever taken a shot at him like that and gets away with it. He was about to raise his hand to hit back. But, something stopped him. Castor had jumped in for a struggle to control his body. “Now is not the time Castor to but in.” mumbled Castor. “No, you promised you wouldn’t do that!” said Castor in Pollux’s mind. They were both struggle for control and Pollux’s harm kept shaking. Pollux accidentally pushed over a chair Casot had early bumped into. “Fine. But, you will get it tomorrow!” yelled Pollux in public.
A few minutes later Castor was back in control with his body. “Oh, I’m so sorry I scared you. S-so what your name?” asked Castor politely and nervously. Castor used his shoe to sweep some of the scatter glass to the side. Castor just hoped the glass won’t make too much of a mess then it already was. “M-my name is Castor.” said Castor in a kind tone. He held out his hand to shake hands with this stranger who seemed frighten of him.
[Sorry for it being a bit short. I have to go do something.]

“What the heck was that for?!” Demi jumped and squeaked when she heard that. 'Sc-cary...' She thought, despite her brain having almost frozen in fear. "I'm-" She couldn't finish the sentence for fear of saying something wrong again. Then the kid seemed to go through some mental fit or something. Demi's eyes widened. "Oh, I’m so sorry I scared you. S-so what your name?” "Huh, oh, it's alright, I'm really sorry for punching you there, are you okay?" She tried to avoid giving her name, she knew it was impolite, but he hadn't exactly appeared normal. So, what to do now? She couldn't escape this forever. He'd already told her his name, so could she? Should she? "I'm De-Winter. My names Winter." 'Oh snap, I screwed up, will he believe me?' She Demi began to panic again. She took a deep breath and tucked some hair behind her ear. It only occurred to her now that she'd stood up. 'When did I-?' Great, she'd gone from panicky to confused in a matter of seconds, just what she needed now. Slowly she looked down at the glass on the floor. Then she took out her purse. Putting down enough for the water, around $8 for the glass and a tip she picked her book up off the floor and put it on the table. Then she drew up another chair and sat down. "Um, well, you said you needed directions, I can-well if you still need them..." She motioned to the chair she had put next to the table. "You c-can sit if you want, I'll help you out."

“Thank you. Winter?” said Castor still puzzled by this name. “Face it she doesn’t want us around Castor.” said Pollux in Castor’s mind. Castor then said in a whisper “Don’t worry. It’s a long story. But, you don’t need to be scared of me.” He said this because judging by here appearance she seemed a bit weary of Castor and Pollux. Of course everyone in the Café took notice to this “odd” display of personalities. When Winter asked him to sit he sat down immediately. He had been walking for hours trying to find the library and his feat were a bit sore from it.
Castor then asked “Can you show me where the library is?” asked Castor. He kind of felt uncomfortable in the café with people glaring at him. To make matters worse Castor could still hear Pollux nagging at him in his mind. “Can’t we just beat a few of them up? I promise I’ll be good” whined Pollux. Castor just ignored him for the moment and acted as though he couldn’t hear Pollux in his head. Castor slowly put his hand on the table and noticed the table wasn’t stable. Like one of the legs are shorter then the other. It kept tapping at the floor until Castor just released his hand on the table and it stopped shaking. “Can I ask you something? Can you please tell me your real name?” asked Castor. Being born in a close nit community he had been a custom to polite and kind introductions. But, Pollux had taught him a thing or two on how sometimes polite isn’t always the best way to go. One thing he learned is nicknames or aliases aren’t such a good way to introduce one’s self.

“Don’t worry. It’s a long story. But, you don’t need to be scared of me.” “Can you show me where the library is?” Demi looked at him and nodded. It wasn't far from here in truth, but it was confusing as Demi knew a quicker but more complicated route. He mentioned a deadline earlier, maybe this route was better... “Can I ask you something? Can you please tell me your real name?” "Eep!" Demi squeaked, eyes wide in panic. 'It was obvious, but- but. Oh fine then.' She could think of no reason to keep her name from him, other than the fact that she didn't know him. 'Ugh! I don't know this guy, but he needs to find the library and all he wants to know is my name!' If she kept this up she would have a major headache later. Her brown eyes dimmed as she thought. "Sorry, my names Demi... " She managed to mutter without stuttering, she shook her head again and turned her attention to the book on the table. Slowly she picked it up and slid the bookmark from the front cover to page one-hundred and three. Setting it down in her lap she glanced again at the glass on the floor, she wanted to fix it, but there was no way she was talented enough. "So the library, it's not that far. I know a short cut, there's no way I could explain it in words. But there's a longer and easier way... that I can explain. Oh, gosh sorry if I'm confusing you!" Demi sighed and mentally slapped herself for talking to much at once. Then she smiled at her own thoughts. 'At least he can't read my mind.'

"Demi, that’s a nice name. So lead the way.” said Castor as he got up from his chair. When he got to the door and turned around waiting for Winter Pollux started shouting again “My way would have been way faster. Besides I can tell she hates you already.” “Would you cut that out.” mumbled Castor in a low tone. He was starting to notice a few people still looking at him. They seemed like he was a threat or something. But, Castor wasn’t paying much attention to them. He was trying to get Pollux to calm down and stop insulting everything that moves. “You know. I can’t wait to use our powers so I don’t have to deal with you all the time.” thought Castor. Pollux heard it alright and took it as a hint. He started to try to take over Castor’s body. “Hey it was only a joke. I didn’t mean that!” said Castor out loud.
But, it was too late. Pollux had taken over Castor’s body. “I said wait we don’t know if this is right. Remember your promise!” yelled Casper in Pollux’s mind. “Fine, fine I’ll just fight with this Winter.” mumbled Pollux in a low tone. “WHA!?” said Castor. But, Pollux was ignoring Castor’s comment now. He tried to disguise himself as Castor not to scare here away. So that he can strike at the right moment. “Please, stop!” said Castor in Pollux’s mind.

Demi noticed the slight fit out of the corner of her eye. 'Is he okay?' Came to her mind very quickly but she shook it off. He looked normal, so he had to be fine. The girl picked up her book and checked she had her purse before walking up to Castor. "Are you okay?" She asked, looking at him before turning away and smoothing her light blue jeans out and smiling. Then she stepped past him and turned left. "Anyway, it's just down here." She indicated a right turn with her arm to show him where she was going to go, and then took the turn. The alleyway blocked off almost all light, with a couple of bins next to a fence. In the middle of the fence was a tall gate with an old fashioned and rusty lock. Demi checked around for anyone who wasn't meant to be here and took a step towards the gate. Then she detoured to one of the bins, and knelt down. It was too dark for her to see anything and as she fumbled around she cut her hand. "Ow.." She groaned, that cut would get her father worked up, and it was bleeding. 'What's sharp enough here to cut myself on? Oh forget that, the key remember?' She shook her head and turned away from Castor and carried on searching the ground.
Finally her fingers brushed something with a cold, metallic feel, she picked it up and examined it, holding it in the palm of her hand. It was long and silver with a sharp point on the end. 'Maybe I hurt myself on this...' Demi's mind started to drift from the current situation.

When Winter asked if Pollux, believing he was Castor, was ok Pollux just replied with a “Fine”. As Pollux followed Winter he thought about how to “play around” with her. Just as she picked up some kind of weird object the calm breeze shifted. The wind grew very violent making everything fly around. “Looks, like something is coming.” said Pollux with a smirk on his face. He was walking closer with his gaze on his target. The rattling of cans an other objects banging on the floor doesn’t seem to both him much. “Cut it out! Please stop!” yelled Castor. But, Pollux, still ignoring him, continued hi s way closer to Winter. “Do you know how sharp the wind can be? Let’s say it can cut you to ribbons.” said Pollux happily. The wind became to get stronger and the sound of objects flying all over started breaking.
“Please! Pollux stop!” yelled Castor in a last attempt to reach him. “Stop acting like a wimp.” mumbled Pollux to Castor. Pollux lifted his hand slowly and wind started forming around his hand and began moving so fast a form of a blade appeared. “Lets have some fun shall we?!” yelled Pollux in excitement.

“Lets have some fun shall we?!” Demi turned when she heard Castor shout, the wind had picked up she had noticed but- Demi screamed, staring at the person in front of her. She paled quickly and her mind screeched to a halt, all that was left in her body was fear. Complete fear, she was defenceless against this... person. "Who- What are you doing? Who are you?!" She screamed, it was all she could do, something struck her. 'Would he kill me? Could I die here, now?' She closed her eyes, tight, scrunching up her features. But something inside her wouldn't give up. 'Come on, dodge it girl! You can survive.' A voice that lessened her fear, added courage and helped her open her eyes. She leapt to the side and pressed herself against the wall. The wind was still going. 'There's water molecules in air, right. Maybe...' Demi turned and looked at Castor. "Why are you so different, was it a trick?" Her voice was shaking, and she wasn't sure what to do, but she tried to concentrate her energy on the molecules. In a matter of seconds the some of the air began to... freeze? 'What the...' Then the temperature all around them dropped ten degrees. The sun was still as warm as ever, but in that alleyway, it was around ten degrees. Demi was freaking out now, it was getting colder all the time. She shivered, and stared at her attacker, what to do now? [Sorry, I'm not good at writing fight scenes. I'll give it my best shot though.]

Pollux chuckled a bit. “My name is Pollux. But, let’s skip all the formalities and get to the fighting shall we?” said Pollux approaching towards Winter. “Stop it right now!” yelled Castor still trying to stop Pollux. Started running forward and jumped in the air ready to strike with his wind sword. “Show me what you can do!” yelled Pollux as he was in the air. The wind was very violent. Pollux didn’t notice this. But, Castor noticed it was getting a bit colder then normal. This was quite odd. Pollux didn’t seem to care. All he wanted to do was to fight and have some action. “Your friend Castor isn’t here to right now! Please leave a message after I deal with you!” yelled Pollux as his blade landed on the floor making a large crank. From the crack a small swirl of wind appeared and began moving towards Winter. “STOP!” yelled Castor even thought Pollux could only hear it. “Winter has been kind enough to offer help and this is how you repay her?!” scolded Castor at Pollux. “Shut your mouth and let me have my fun. I have been doing it your way for days no and it’s so boring.” said Pollux out loud.

“Your friend Castor isn’t here to right now! Please leave a message after I deal with you!” Demi squeaked as the wind made its way towards her. She tried to press herself further against the wall but she just ended up making no progress. She tried to scramble up the wall but only fell down and landed closer to Pollux. She winced as she landed on one of her arms, it wasn't broken but it blooming hurt. She let out a sob, a tear slid down her face. In times of tension she always felt sad, and fear was pushing this out. As the tear slid down her face a thought struck her, she blinked. This would hurt. Reaching up with her unhurt arm she poked herself in the eye. In any other situation she would have laughed, but now she just cried, soon there were some tears on the floor. She had to lure him over now... Getting up and taking a few steps back she blinked, another tear rolled down her face, she gently touched the cut on her arm, it wasn't bleeding badly. That was another possibility. "Please stop, p-pleas-please. W-Why are y-you doing thi-this?" Demi couldn't help but stutter. Then she knew it was going to, she was going to voice her worst fear. "I don't wanna die." It was more than a whisper and it came out as a plea. A plea for this to stop. "Let me speak to Castor, t-t-then maybe w-we can s-sort this out?"

Red hair flowed behind a young girl in the small cafe, clashing with the blue eyes that blinked slowly as they watched a fellow customer spill water on her lap, breaking the glass that held it in the process. The blue eyes flicked to the twinkling shards reflecting the light and decorating the walls with tiny flecks of shining color. A radiant smile lit up the face that the eyes belonged to. It was a pity about the glass, and the poor girl must have been uncomfortable, but the red-haired girl couldn't feel bad when she was looking at light, especially in such wonderful colors. Seconds later a boy walked in, heading purposefully toward the unfortunate female. Things got interesting after that. One moment he was rude and aggressive, the next he was apologizing for his previous actions and politely introducing himself. He switched back and forth, and he seemed to frequently talk to the air, and he looked around often, making it plain that he knew people were watching him. Keira quickly averted her eyes whenever he did this, and kept her head down. She had no desire to get mixed up in anything weird just yet, not so soon after the whole thing with Chiaki. She stared at the boy as he left the cafe behind the girl, and sighed quietly. She supposed she should follow them, to make sure nothing happened. The girl seemed rather easily frightened; she had taken a swing at the boy even before he had started being a jerk. I wonder if he has multiple personality disorder. Or maybe it's schizophrenia. She got up, her chair making an irritating groaning/scraping noise as it was pushed along the floor. Taking a moment to smooth the white skirt that ended just above her knees, she made her way out of the cafe.
She followed them at a distance, and snorted quietly. She was a hero, and yet if anybody had seen her, she probably would have looked more like some kind of stalker. Still, she didn't favor the whole "barging in and announcing your presence to everyone" method that some fellow heroes like Kid Flash seemed to. She preferred to step in only when she thought she was needed, and when she did, she did it as peacefully as possible. She didn't like to fight, but she was perfectly capable of holding her own, something she demonstrated quite frequently to villains who underestimated her. Which was funny, since the assumption that she was weak was derived in part from how she made her appearances, which was exactly how she wanted it in case she really did have to engage in combat. She had lost sight of the pair while she thought, but now she heard the boy talking in what was obviously a threatening tone, and she broke into a run, her crimson hair streaming out behind her. She skidded to a halt as she saw what was happening. The girl was on the ground, crying, and the boy was advancing on her with what looked like some kind of blade made of air. Of course. He couldn't just be your average, run-of-the-mill thug. No, he has to have powers. Can't I get a break?
Brushing her bangs out of her face, she noticed that the air in this alley seemed much colder than it had been a few feet further back. Whatever; she couldn't be bothered to think about that right now. Besides, it might have just been some side-effect of the boy's wind sword. The air he was using could have been freezing. She saw the boy attack, and muttered, "Not on my watch you loser." This would be difficult; she needed light for half of the powers at her command, the ones she used for both defensive and offensive purposes. And this alley was sorely lacking in the illumination department. Still, there was a bit of light, and she was going to make the most of it. She absorbed all the light that the narrow arena had to offer, rendering the alley pitch-black. She couldn't see in the dark of course, but it was reasonable to guess that the boy couldn't either. Still, he had attacked before she had sucked all the light into her body, so she created a small, shining white sphere around the girl who was curled upon the filthy ground. After it deflected the boy's attack however, she removed it, calling the light back into her body and plunging the three of them into darkness once more. She wasn't going to waste energy protecting an invisible target, and even though it made her blind, the darkness meant that she didn't have to make herself or the girl truly invisible either. She sent a beam of red light shooting toward the place she had last seen the boy, just solid and hard enough to knock the wind out of him, but blunt enough so that she didn't slice him cleanly in half. She had had to do that to a couple of people a few times, and she winced at the memory. The mess was unbelievable. She spoke loud enough for the boy to hear. "I don't know what you think you're doing, but you better control yourself, and you better do it quick, or you're going to have a real fight on your hands. And trust me, I am not in the mood."

“See Castor? I told you that nothing would go wrong and you thought I would actually hurt the civilian?” said Pollux in triumph. His real goal was to get a Hero or Villain out to have some fun. Castor was now speechless since he didn’t believe Pollux could conjure such a plan. Pollux slowly got up from the blast that just hit him. Pollux gave a smile. “Have fun Castor!” said Pollux happily. “What!? You mean…” Castor couldn’t finish now he was in control of his body. “How am I going to explain this?” Thought Castor to himself. He decided it might be a better way is to get out of this darkness. Castor dispersed his blade like weapon. He then concentrated on the wind feeling where the wind could and couldn’t go. He was a bit worn out from that attack earlier. But, he managed. A second later he focused all the wind to his feet and released it making him fly straight out of the alleyway and landed n the roof of one of the smaller buildings that created the shadow of the alleyway. “I’m so sorry for what my frie…” Casotr couldn’t finish his statement. He felt different. He couldn’t sense pollux near him anymore. “You have got to be kidding me.” Thought Castor to himself. Castor and Pollux had separated temporarily into two different beings.
From the dark Pollux materialized a wind blade from his right arm. “Lets have some fun.” said Pollux excited. He spun in a circle creating a whirlwind in the small alleyway. If Castor didn’t manipulate the wind in time it would of surely story the buildings. “What are you doing?!” Cried Castor from on top of the building.
