{OOC: Yay 60 posts!!!! And still only the two of us Ace } Zen smiled at Mori's words. Interestingly, he hadn't originally thought of it that way. It was his darker side that brought up the fact it had a double meaning. If it wasn't for that, he wouldn't have figured out what Mori was babbling about. Of course, since he did know, he could pretend that he didn't. Zen turned back to face Mori, with a look of complete innocence in his voice. "What?" he said with mocked confusion. "I don't even know what you're talking about. What signals? I just wanted a race," Zen said with a wink. "And okay no powers this time, so no one cheats okay?" he added with a big foolish grin on his face. "So how about it, Mori? Think you can take another race with someone like me?" And with that Zen turned around and zipped ahead, not really giving her much of a choice. It was really down to run after him, either to hurt him or otherwise, or just simply leave him there. Zen hoped Mori wouldn't resort to the latter. Turning around, while keeping a brisk pace, Zen shouted back at her. "C'mon Mori! You've to go faster than that!"

Mori rolled her eyes knowingly at Zen's challenge. She stuffed her hands in her jean pockets and stared down at the cracked pavement. She wondered how late it was, probably around 12am, maybe later. Zen's comment passed through the cogs and bolts of Mori's brain, taking her time since she knew that she had nothing to fear.
When her coal black eyes searched for him, she saw that he had already started running. She smirked a little seeing that Zen's own senses were dull, maybe if he saw the tattoo on her clavicle, maybe then he'd realize who she was. It shouldn't take long, wouldn't a mere child that was capable of assassinating even the most powerful criminals with relative ease be known to other criminals?
Mori frowned and continued to walk. If he was here, it probably wouldn't be to exterminate her. He was probably here for someone else. But being disguised as a waiter? It wasn't something that Eden wouldn't allow often, mostly for gathering information. Mori's brow furrowed, then what was he getting information about. Mori shook her head. 'No use worrying 'bout it now, I'm probably the last thing on the elder's minds.'
Mori scoffed and in the blink of an eye she was next to Zen. "Someone like you? That's my line, idiot!" She pushed forward, putting meters between herself and Zen. Mori turned her head and stuck her tongue out at him.

{OOC: Now approaching about the 63rd reply. This has to be a joke.}
Zen laughed as he saw Mori raced ahead. Wow, she fast, he thought. With blood pumping through him, he gave himself another boost as he started closing the gap between them.
C'mon Zen, you can do it!, the light side chirped in. Zen charged on, ignoring all the little voices that had began to appear. Now was not the time to listen to them. Wait no, it never was, he thought.
Gasping, Zen barely managed to close the gap, trying his best to even out his breathing. He was drawing even with Mori now, who was obviously a much better runner. Hmmm, he thought. Let's change the setting....
Eyeing an entrance to a park, Zen thought of a weird plan. "Hey Mori!" he said in between gasps. "A shortcut!", he managed to say before shooting forward. He dived down the entrance to the park, cutting across the pavement to a locked gate. He smiled. It was just as he thought it would be. The park would no doubt have locked entrances/exits while at the same time have uneven maze-like paths. You needed more than speed for this.
Sure I'm not as fast as she is, Zen thought. But when it's climbing, I'm pretty sure she needs her powers. Zen easily scaled to the top of the fence, then leaped to a close tree. From his vantage point, he looked back to see if Mori was following, not that it mattered. The park was a shortcut, leading them right to where they wanted to go. In fact, the path they were walking actually wound around the park.
Let's hope she'll come, he thought.

((This should be put into the record books........))
Mori smirked as Zen somehow managed to get closer to her. He wasn't a bad runner as she had previously thought. Slowly, as if to give him a false sense of confidence and then just shatter it later (since she had a slight love of doing that), Mori edged forward, she glanced at Zen to see how he was doing, which was a mistake since that caused her to crash into a group of trash cans. Luckily, she managed to avoid the actual trash that shot out of it's cage, but accidentally upset a dining feline. It hissed as its back arched and its tail rose.
"Oh crap..."
The cat leaped toward her, its claws ready to tear open anything that they managed to sink into. On instinct, Mori held the creature under its 'armpits', keeping it away from her face. The creature didn't give up however, its paws went into over drive and the claws swung and thrashed about 3 centimeters from her face.
Mori glanced over at Zen, who was no longer in sight, but she heard his voice. "Hey Mori!" He sounded tired. "A shortcut!"
"STUPID CAT!!!" She growled and threw the cat away from her. Mori jumped up and bolted off toward the spot where Zen's voice had come from, she nearly groaned once she saw the park.
"MEREOW!!!" Mori's head spun around, only to see the cat chasing after her, looking soooooo happy. She groaned out loud this time and jumped over the fence, using the top bar to flip herself over so she landed gracefully into a crouching position. Mori leapt up from in however with a 'I'm scared outta my mind' look on her face. She bolted forward, jumping over benches and hedges (sometimes nearly tripping over, ruining them even more). The cat slips under the fence and continues to chase her.
"Stupid cat! Stupid cat! Stupid cat!!!" Mori repeats herself as she begins to finally look for Zen, not noticing him in his perch in a tree.

Zen looked down at the dynamic duo, not really knowing what was happening. It was safe to say that he didn't have this in mind when he planned on scaring Mori. Oh well, he thought. The more the merrier.
"Hey Mori!" Zen yelled from his post, hoping he wouldn't surprise her and make her trip. But that would be so funny, the dark side added. And cruel, the light side objected.
"What Mori, found a new pet?" he leering said from his place on the tree. "Or is it a new racing contestant? Cause it looks like she might just catch up!" he finished with a laugh. He knew he really shouldn't since Mori would beat the crap out of him later, but he couldn't resist.
But with fun time over, Zen knew that he needed to help Mori, unless he planned on helping her bandage all the scratches she would get. Zen sat down on his branch and leaned back, hanging from his legs.
"C'mon Mori! Grab on, unless you wanna be striped meat yourself!" he said with a wink. "Just promise not to kill me!"

This wasn't so bad, Mori was only running from a possibly rabid cat that wanted to literally rip her face off kill her. This wasn't so bad, Mori had decent stamina and speed so she could probably outrun it. She just kept telling herself to keep positive. It wasn't like someone was out to get her or something....cuz if they were this was a prime moment to trip her.
"Hey Mori!"
"WAH!" And just like that she tripped. The cat had jumped just as she did and ended up landing in front of her, still extremely angry. Mori jumped up and ran in the direction of Zen's voice. She could now see him as he mocked her. Mori growled. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU FOR THAT ZEN!!!"
She ran toward Zen as he hung upside-down from his perch, probably trying to aid her, but being Mori....she ignored the gesture. "C'mon Mori! Grab on, unless you wanna be striped meat yourself! Just promise not to kill me!" He even threw in a wink, with another growl Mori grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him down. She held him close to her in front of her as the angry stray feline rushed toward them.
"Sorry can't make any promises!! Let's just hope you live through this!" Mori smirked but it immediately faded when the cat skidded to a stop in front of Zen, looking up at him almost innocently. It walked around him and then went back into crazy, I'm-gonna-kill-you kitty mode. It jumped up, causing Mori to let go of Zen, practically pushing him away from her, and hold onto the cat again as its claws swung centimeters from her face.

{Yay!!! Finally posted}
Zen fell with a oof, becoming a meat shield for Mori. He looked towards the rabid looking cat, hoping it wasn't going to maul him that badly. "Here kitty kitty," he said with almost a childlike tone.
Yeah, bright kid, the dark side thought. Taunt the killer cat.
But just as Zen cringed, preparing to feel the cat's claws on him, he was surprised at seeing it walk around, before leaping at Mori's face. Before he knew it, Mori had pushed him aside and narrowly saved her face from being ripped.
Zen couldn't help but laugh. The complete irony made the situation ridiculous. Here was Mori, fighting off a rabid cat for her life! Zen could barely smother a giggle as he lifted the cat into his own arms, feeling it relax. "There there, she won't hurt you again," Zen said, more so to tease Mori than to comfort the cat.
Zen looked back at Mori, raising an eyebrow. "What did you do to the poor cat? They don't attack without reason you know." In fact, the cat seemed to be enjoying its new home in Zen's arm, lying belly up as Zen absentmindedly rubbed her stomach.

Mori happily gave up the killer feline to Zen and watched the cat literally fall asleep in his arms. She had never liked cats they were so...lazy and messy. Dogs were so much better! Crocodiles weren't bad either....
"There there, she won't hurt you again," Zen cooed to the cat like it hadn't just tried to rip her face off.
Mori growled and folded her arms over her chest. "WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON! THAT...That....THING TRIED TO KILL ME!!!!" She throughly showed that she was very, very angry but moving her hands to her sides and clenching them into fists.
Mori almost pouted, as she eyed the cat, but of course, her attention was drawn back to Zen. "What did you do to the poor cat? They don't attack without reason you know." Mori straightened up and crossed her arms again, glaring at the cat with all the hatred she felt for it in her heart, which was a lot considering the stakes.
"I didn't even do anything to it! It just has an anger issues! She turned away from from the pair, after seeing how cozy they were getting.
((Can you spot all the hints?! xDDD))

{OOC:Sorry for this looooooooooong wait. Really. But, hints for what?}
Zen rolled his eyes as he heard Mori's response. "Yeah sure," he said sarcastically. "You probably stepped on it or something, the way you were running," Zen said with a smirk. He was careful to keep distance from Mori though; the cat might still be pissed and if Mori got too close....well Zen was pretty sure he wouldn't be much better off either.
Walking out a little in front of Mori, he couldn't help but laugh when seeing Mori angry. You know, he thought. She actually looks rather cute when she's angry.....
Zen shook his head at the stray thought, wondering what had gotten into him. "Well, you both should be sorry anyway, and the two of you should shake it off," he said, before looking down at the cat and figuring it was a bad idea. It was looking at Mori with a wary look, the sort of one you get if you stare at something someone else owns.
"Or I guess not," Zen nervously said, walking ahead of Mori quickly. "Well, we've wasted enough time. Let's get there quickly," as he made his way around the park.
