Personality
Halo is a very shy person. Ever since her parents died she has become a very quiet and secretive person and keeps to herself. She has always been willing to do something for someone, if they threatened her, and sometimes she will help even if she is not threatened. She doesn’t mind fighting, she actually loves to fight, but if the task is simple she will do it without a fight. She likes to stay in the shadows when she is out in public but is usually very friendly when spoken to. She also harbors many secrets. She will help someone, but only if she benefits from it. She will also hurt someone if the situation calls for it, but she would never kill anyone, unless it was either she dies or she kills, then she will kill, but if she doesn’t have to, she won’t.
She is not very sympathetic and doesn’t mind if she hurts people mentally or physically. She usually has no problem betraying people and is usually willingly to take the consequences of her actions, no matter how bad they are. She is easily angered. During battle her anger is released in the form of attacks and counter attacks, but when she is not fighting she does a pretty good job at controlling her emotions. She will fight till she has no life left in her, but somehow always manages to survive. She also loves to taunt her enemies when she is in battle even though this isn’t to smart. She refuses to love or be loved because of past experiences and doesn’t mind telling people that she isn’t interested and she enjoys doing crazy things that often put her in life threatening situations.
History
When Jen was a child, around the age of seven, her parents had died in a car crash. Jen had almost died and couldn’t remember anything at the time. The doctors said she would probably never remember, but as she grew older she began to remember something, but not enough to really count. She was never really nice as a child, but she was never a really bad child either. She had run away from the orphanage one year after arriving, the worst year of her life. People continuously asked her about what she could remember, but at the time that was nothing. She did remember one thing, her powers. She had been using them since practically birth. She had trained hard and could take anyone, so she thought.
When she was nine she had almost perfected her powers. At the time she was young and rather stupid. She had been caught steeling, but had managed to get away. A “nice” lady found her and took her in. Soon Jen was doing unspeakable things for this lady. She even taught Jen one spell, the spell of invisibility over another. While working for her, Jen discovered that she was able to read minds. She did not tell the lady this, but instead developed control over her power and used it to betray the woman. Now she could read minds and make other people invisible. She worked with her powers and decided she wanted to see if she could turn herself invisible. She tried the spell, giving her the permanent power of cloaking, invisibility. This is when she took the name, Halo.
Jen left the city. She hitched a ride and went to Jump City. Here she got in a lot of trouble. She got mixed up with bad, very bad people. She was in an alley, hiding from the cops, when she saw a group of guys trying to steal from a nice old lady. This is when she learned she was actually willing to help people. She went to help the old woman, but all this did was start a fight. She was out numbered and wished she had something like a gun or a crowbar. Suddenly she had both in her hand. She didn’t use the gun, but she helped the lady and discovered a new power, matter creation.

Roleplay Example
Halo was sitting on a roof top. The sun had just begun to rise and her long black hair began to move as the wind wisped by her face. She was wearing her usual attire, a long black dress with her hair down. She had on a chain with a small silver ring on it. She had no shoes because she could not turn them invisible. She could however turn her dress invisible because it had been specially made, which often came in handy. She stood up and let the sun’s rays light up the sky. She could fell its warmth, even through the black dress. She jumped down and began to walk. It was still relatively early and there were only a few people on the street.
Soon Halo reached the edge of the city. In front of her she could see the stars slowly disappear. She wondered what it would be like to live on some far off planet where good and evil did not exist. A place where she wasn’t constantly finding new ways to survive by killing or breaking some other law. She didn’t really mind this, but she still though about how much easier to live among the stars. She once again sat down, this time the wind didn’t blow her hair back away from her, this time it blew past her face. She sat and watched as the earth began to once again come to life as a new day began. She was free from all, she was her own person and no one could tell her what to do anymore.
She realized that this perfect fantasy wouldn’t last. She was to easily persuaded. She would most likely find herself doing something for someone once again, but this time she wouldn’t help without a fight. She was tired of fighting someone else’s battles for them. She was tired of being pushed around. She would help, but now it wouldn’t be to protect herself. She would now expect something in return for things she did, whether the deeds were good, or horribly wicked. She had never gotten anything for herself, not even as a small child.
She stood up. Now, not only was her hair dancing in the wind but so was her dress. The sky was now as bright at it could possibly be. Today was the day that she would finally get something that benefited her. She knew, however that she would have to refrain from using her powers as much as she used to. She new this would only cause more trouble. She took a ponytail holder off her wrist and put her hair up. She walked back toward the city, the start of a new day and, hopefully a new life. She wondered if she could stay out of trouble then she realized, she was the meaning of the word trouble. She was still determined not to be used, but stay out of trouble… ha. She kissed her little fantasy goodbye and left.
