Deep scarlet eyes flicked back and forth as she felt the icy wind of a high altitude whip through her silver hair, red tipped bangs slashing about the cold skin of her face. Her leer was as cold as the atmosphere around her, sharp and calculating like the eyes of a hawk. Her red wings beat powerfully in a rhythm that kept her at a steady speed...fast. Fast enough that a human wouldn't have time to register what she was exactly before she was out of sight...pass her off as a big bird, or a hallucination. And where had she been, exactly? Around. Actually, she had been around Jump City, but her movements were brief and unpredictable, never staying in once place for longer than required. She just wasn't the same Achema that she used to be...reluctant to feed on human blood for more than required, calm through any situation. Right now, her eyes held murky maroon that signaled she was a bit thirsty, but there was something else about her eyes...the pupils were slitted, not round. This was a normal occurance when vampires of her kind fed on human blood frequently. When they fed on animals, as she did before, they were round. As I stated, she was changed. With a sharp swoosh and a quiet thud, she landed on the ground in the shadows, her wings folding behind her back. Hey eyes caught the glint of silver moonlight in the shadows as she glared sharply at a bypassing human, and as he turned to see her eyes, his body went quite rigid. She recognized the widening of his eyes as his lips parted in his shock as if to scream, but nothing except for a sharp intake of breath could possibly get through his vocals.
She held his stare with her icy eyes for a moment before her lips curled back over her teeth in a wicked grin, her fangs glimmering in a crimson stain that released the man from his silent state. With a shriek he turned to escape, but the second he turned around, he was face to face with the very creature that began this nightmare. Achema's red bangs cast a shadow over her slitted scarlet eyes as a smooth, serpent-like voice came from her throat laced with venom. What's the rush? In a blurr, she had the man's throat seized in her icy grip, and the flow of his oxygen was cut from his mouth. A quiet, hoarse cry was all that could escape before her fangs were in his neck, his eyes going huge for only a second before clouding over into lifeless pits. It took her only minutes to drain his body before allowing his corpse to drop to the ground, her pale hand coming to wipe the blood from her lips. Instantly the maroon of her eyes brightened to a ruby red, the slits of her eyes narrowing into tiny strips of black like a feline in the sunlight. Lately, the barrier of her mind had begun to give way just a bit, the frequent headaches spelling pain...but she was going to deal with it. She had been beating and beating at that barrier despite the horrible stabs it gave her skull. Even now, her head throbbed with what now seemed like a constant pain, but she didn't care. She had seen that man in the portrait in her apartment in her mind a few times, but he was still blurry...no matter. She would find that out as well. As she gazed into the darkness, she looked...feral, dark...like one might usually label a vampire. The glare in her eyes was murderous to anyone, and as death lingered in this very spot, the silence was heavy.
She looked down to the pale, cold body at her feet now...there was hardly any blood on the ground at all, save for what lingered and barely dripped from the two holes in his neck. She had learned to be quite neat with her victims now. She have a low 'hn' as she turned to walk over to a tree in the new park, leaning her back against the trunk. She held memories of her older, more gentle self...Necros was a main part of it. They usually say that absence makes the heart grow fond, but in truth? She had gotten a bit more distant from him, actually. Perhaps is she saw him again, she would remember the bond they had...but she wouldn't receive him so warmly, as usual. Not because she held something against him, but because she had lost what little warmth she had in her body before she attacked him. She came to terms that if she could attack the closest person to her, she could attack anyone...so she might as well just realize the true her: a cold, murderous monster. She had been unsettled at that thought a few months ago, but now...she was quite comfortable with it, and by the dark smirk on her white face and the cool glint in her eye, it was quite evident.

Brothers, seriously who needed them, all they did was torment you, make fun of you and why? Because they seemed to find it funny, and they always knew exactly what to do to get their required reaction out of you, did they have some sort of book? One that all brothers shared with each other, the big book of ‘How to torture your little sister in ten easy steps’ it seemed feasible enough, whatever the case Dawn’s brother was up there with the big evils, the devil himself would probably look like a girl thingy cat next to Josh, especially today. It had started out like most days, school was as always uneventful, nothing interesting ever happened there, not even a decent explosion in the science lab, what happened to the good old stink bomb experiments she had been so fond of at her last school? Then again no two schools were ever the same, but the one here, well it was definitely different from the rest.
Home had not been much better, it was where her day had gotten worse, her parents were out when she had arrived home, nothing new there really, it almost seemed like they were avoiding her of late, like they didn’t want to see her or speak to her. Though Dawn would never say it she was hurt by this but would always make out that it bothered her very little perhaps that was why they ignored her so often now, because she never said anything. She had run upstairs to her room only to find her brother in it rummaging through her things, now this was bad enough, as no girl appreciates her brother in her room without permission but he was stealing from her piggy bank. Dawn was usually a quiet girl and rarely got angry but this had caused her to lash out at him and she thumped him hard, but when he tried to retaliate his hand went straight through her, it was then that she realised it, she couldn’t run from it anymore, he would tell her parents what had happened, he’d finally know, and more torment would ensue, so she ran.
Dawn shivered as she entered the park pulling her pink puffer jacket tightly around her, she hadn’t had time to pack much, just a couple of things to keep her going for tonight, some Oreos and a mountain dew nothing big. Her hair chestnut hair drifted in front of her eyes, but she did not remove it, truthfully she didn’t really have the energy to, she was tired and feeling ever so slightly skittish, it was a well known fact that she hated the dark, and whilst the park was lit, it wasn’t lit well. The young teen gulped loudly as she continued to walk telling herself over and over again that her fear was irrational, but it wasn’t irrational to her and that was the problem. Regardless of whether her parents seemed to care very little lately, she knew deep down that they must care if only a small amount and her mother would be worried sick by now wondering where she had gotten to after all, what parent would want their child skulking around the park at night? At least what responsible parent would.
It was then that Dawn heard a scream, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up as fear set in further, she quickened her pace, looking about her fearfully, her hair whipping her face as she turned her head sharply to look in all directions. “Be calm Dawn, it was just the wind, yeah, the wind was screaming” she said to herself, realising how dumb that statement truly was, the wind didn’t scream, sure it howled but when did it ever scream? She shook her head, trying to stay as calm as was humanly possible as she adjusted her rucksack on her back, she needed to find somewhere to sleep, preferably somewhere that wouldn’t give her the creeps, and she was beginning to think that the park was a bad idea.

The scarlet of her stunning eyes disappeared for a moment as her pale lids hid them from sight, closed to dwell within her thought. A crease formed between her brows as she flinched just a bit under the constant throbbing within her head, sharp and chronic...well, it had been chronic lately, but only because she had made it that way. She would reach ALL of her memories, no matter how much it tore at her head to do so. With one resounding throb, her teeth grounded together as her clawed fingers balled into tight fists, a quiet grunt coming from her throat as ice cold blood seeped just a tad bit from her hands before they healed almost instantly. The pain disappeared, and the expression on her face loosened just a small bit, her eyes opening again to glare at the dark surroundings of night around her. And...there was another sound. Her eyes widened just a bit as they flashed to the side, catching a silohuette in the darkness. Her sight magnified, and she was able to make out all of the small details. A pink jacket surrounding the small stature of a little girl, her brown hair falling in wisps around her face. She looked alert, panic flashing across her soft features as she looked around frantically...apparently, the man's scream had alerted more than just her own ears. Her lips pulled into a taut line as her jaw clenched, a low growl coming from her throat that the girl might or might not just barely be able to hear. She hadn't come here wanting a crowd, not really wanting anyone. That man was just unlucky enough to cross her path...now, there was this girl. Would Achema sentence this girl to the same fate? No...not yet, anyways.
Be calm Dawn, it was just the wind, yeah, the wind was screaming. Her pale, colorless lips pulled back into a slight smirk, not baring her fangs but lips still pulled together, her eyes glinting with a bit of mischief and darkness from the moonlight above. They looked absolutely predatory, like a hungry cat on the prowl. She would hide her identity from this girl, though. She closed her eyes, and her crimson wings slid soundlessly back into her back, looking as if she never had wings in the first place. Her claws took the form of normal fingernails, and her fangs forming into normal flat teeth. The only thing that she could not change would be her pupils, slitted so thinly to the point to where they were almost invisible, and her liquid paper-white skin. Silently, in a blurr, she moved from her spot to behind the girl as she walked down the sidewalk. Her crimson eyes gleamed in a cold, calculating leer that held nothing warm or humorous, the smirk gone from her lips as they formed a tight, empty flat line. If anyone hasn't told you, night isn't the best time to be wandering around this town. Her voice was impossibly smooth and melodious, but it was the coldest, most venomous melody that could ever be heard. Her red bangs skimmed across her brow as the wind swooped them to the side, her silver longer hair wisping around shoulders.

Dawn shivered again, her breath leaving an icy trail in the air before her, was it really that cold? She could be sitting in front of a warm radiator right now, or having a hot bath with some bubbles, that was something she enjoyed doing, but there was no hope of that tonight, she was alone, and she was going to stay alone, but part of her wished she had left some sort of note for her parents to let them know she was ok. “Stupid brother, had to ruin everything” she whispered wiping her hair from her eyes now reaching the top of her tolerance level which meant it had to go. She was always a loner really, mostly by choice, the less people knew about you the better or so she thought, the less was known the less likely that people would discover her powers, perhaps that was why she was so reclusive? A fear of rejection perhaps? Whatever the reason, she wanted to be alone right now, no matter how much she also longed for companionship.
The voice came so suddenly and unexpectedly that Dawn whirled around with a scream falling backwards as she slammed onto the floor, thankfully enough she hadn’t hit her head, no the only part of her that had been hurt was her pride as she sat there rubbing her back. “Hey do you always sneak up on people!” she shouted forgetting the words that she had uttered to her as she lifted herself from the floor wiping down her clothes with gloved hands before pushing her hair behind her ears, a habit when she was nervous. She took note of the owner of the voice now, a girl, older than it seemed, her hair was certainly different, how many people had silver and red in theirs? The only conclusion Dawn could come up with was that it must have been dyed, her skin, well it was pale maybe she didn’t get enough sun, but those eyes....those eyes were strange, even a little scary, snake like perhaps but something about them was giving Dawn the major creeps in a very bad way.
Swallowing hard, she tried to look un-phased by this girls appearance and folded her arms across her chest, trying to look unimpressed, a lot of things were going through her mind right now, mostly about why this girl had approached her in the first place, did she get off on scaring people? Yeah that seemed about right, why else just suddenly appear out of nowhere, could she have been following her from the start? No, she would have noticed someone following her. “Guess I should be grateful that your not some guy in a ski mask or something” she said relaxing a little letting her arms fall to her sides again.

She heard the resounding thud when the girl's startled body came into contact with the ground, feeling the light vibrations through her heightened senses as her collision with the ground sent very small tremors. Her shrill scream absolutely shattered every bit of silence around them, and her eyes squinted as her jaw clenched as the sharp sound cut through her sensitive ears. Did humans really have to be so loud about their emotions? So easily startled...weak, the lot of them were. Her icy cold hand went to her temples to massage them as her eyes opened again slowly, glaring daggers at the girl before her. Could you please keep your shrieking down to a minimum, please? The words came out with a cutting spite. She wished it was just her hands that were icy cold, and the rest of her was normal temperature...that way, the cold temperature of her hands would actually make a difference. But, since all of her skin was cold, it felt no different than a human rubbing their head with their own hands. It was why she loved the cold...it didn't affect her so much, seeing that she was already pretty much an icicle. Then again, her body was physically dead...she was quite literally the living dead, so her body would be heatless. The glare that she shot the girl lessened slightly to just a cool stare, and she shifted her weight to her other side. Hey do you always sneak up on people! The edges of her colorless lips etched upwards so slightly, and she gave a lifeless chuckle. Yes, but for reasons I'm sure you would rather not hear.
She could tell the girl was nervous...her stance said she was comfortable, but her sharp hearing could pick up the girl's rapid heart beating albeit more wildly in her chest than usual. She almost chuckled at this, but kept her silence. She heard the girl swallow loudly as her neck constricted...then again, this girl was relatively young, so perhaps she had a bit more of an excuse to be...so...weak, she supposed. So easily unsettled, especially in the face of a vampire. Although, the girl didn't know for sure what she was. Guess I should be grateful that your not some guy in a ski mask or something. Hmm...so, she thought Achema wasn't a threat herself, something less than one of those petty fools who called themselves ones to be feared. She couldn't help the smirk that played on her face...if the girl knew exactly what she was really standing before, she would happily walk beside any ski-masked stranger any day. You think so? She tilted her head to the side as the crooked smirk remained on her face. Whatever helps you to sleep at night, Achema thought with a small bit of humor. They are rather numerous around here...but petty and stupid. The least of your threats, I would say. This girl must think this town was just like any other town, crime only pertaining to robberies and men running around with guns. She must not know that there are far, far more frightening things that lurked in the shadows of this city...she had just been fortunate enough to avoid them. Well, until now...but Achema wasn't going to bite right now. She would behave, for the time being.

Dawn let her mind wander for a moment as she turned her head, scanning the park a little, it seemed rather odd that this girl should be out here alone even if she was older, but then why should she care? It wasn’t as though she was a friend or something like that; even then she probably wouldn’t have given it too much thought. She didn’t make friends easily, she tended to brush people off with a look of distain, but she could say that she had at least one, if Miranda could be called a friend, she was more like a puppy staring at you with doe eyes whenever she couldn’t get her own way, it was annoying but cute at the same time.
Bringing herself back to the reality around her Dawn sighed and continued her staring match with Achema, why was she staring at her anyway? Was her hair messed up or something? She ran a gloved hand through her hair, trying to fix it in case that actually was the problem. Achema’s reply about sneaking up on people wasn’t exactly what she had expected to hear, most people didn’t just jump out on others for fun, or did they? Well Josh would have, but he was just a jerk anyway. “You might think that guys in ski masks aren’t a threat, but I’m going to go with them being high up there on the ‘do damage to Dawn’ scale” she said folding her arms back across her chest blowing a wayward strand of hair out of her face.
Well she was definitely strange she’d give her that, perhaps she was a goth? Yeah, the hair made her think that but it wasn’t the usual black she had seen, still some people liked to experiment with colour. “So…..you a goth or something?” she asked, coming straight out with the question rather than wait a while, it was typical for her, she was the ask questions first kind of girl, but whether that was a good or bad thing remained to be seen.

You might think that guys in ski masks aren’t a threat, but I’m going to go with them being high up there on the ‘do damage to Dawn’ scale. She let a few very quiet chuckles vibrate through her throat...her throat, which reminded her. Her locket...she needed to retrieve that very soon. Zethis...oh, the very thought made even her ice cold blood come to a seething boil. At just the thought of him, her eyes hardened from a cool liquid scarlet to a solid, freezing crimson, something shaking deep within her throat...a snarl, that sounded anything but human. It was very muffled, she didn't know if the girl could even hear it, but it was there. She could just visualize herself ripping that cursed male vampire bit to bit, but she would need a bit of help...someone like him would be quite hard to match, but not impossible. She felt her hands clench into fists, and then loosen as she regained her composure. She wouldn't let him interfere with her daily life, nor would she let him invade her thoughts twenty-four seven. She would just retrieve her locket when the time came...and perhaps destroy him in the process. Then, she would forever be able to live in better peace. Perhaps since he is the one that made her a vampire in the first place, destroying him would maybe lift the horrible veil on her mind. How she would love to have his throat seized in her grip, to look in his eyes and see actual fear of what she was about to inflict upon him. Glorious...just the thought of that almost made her lips curl up in to a true, brilliant toothy smile. But, she kept a cool posture as she settled to twitch the edge of her lips up slightly. This girl probably thought she was schizophrenic, watching Achema go through all of these expressions...but that wasn't her concern.
Perhaps to you, but consider this: there are far, far worse things in this city that you could come across. Things that would convince you to most gratefully take the presence of a 'ski-masked man' any day. She wondered silently if she should let the girl know exactly what she was...no, she wouldn't. She wasn't in this city to cause a complete uproar about her being a vampire...that would be inconvenient. Or, it could be fun. Ah, she would let the secret lie, and keep her identity as a 'creepy, strangely beautiful' human, or something like that. Then again, that was the look of all vampires: unnaturally alluring and attractive, for the sole purpose of luring their prey to them, as a venus fly trap appealed to a fly before snapping it in its fateful jaws.
So…..you a goth or something? Oh...wow. It took every last bit of her self-control to keep herself from falling on the ground, rolling around in a fit of laughter that was very uncharacteristic for her. Her eyes just closed as she brought her hand to her lips, muffling what would have been laughter into the back of her cold hand a few minutes before she was sure she had passed through the laughter, and brought her hand back down to reveal lips that were upturned in a chilling closed-mouthed grin. If that's what you want to call it...sure. Then, her curiosity bore its ugly head within her mind, and was brought to ask something. So, what brings a vulnerable girl like yourself to be wandering around in the darkness?

Dawn backed up a little from Achema as she growled in her throat her facial expressions becoming a little more serious, the growl was just audible and much like Achema herself somewhat creepy, perhaps talking to this girl was not such a good idea. She was strange to say the least and she had seen quite enough of the strange in this city, it was after all the city of the Teen Titans, she’d heard of them, of course she had no desire to be like them, she didn’t see the need to fight crime wasn’t that what the police were for. She would have walked away had it not been for her legs, they didn’t want to move, surely she wasn’t that scared? She looked back to Achema who’s features had become more fearsome, something was bothering her? Or she was thinking about something, because why would her hands be clenching into fists if not for some sort of violent memory, unless she was going to strike her?
Though Achema did not show it, Dawn got the impression that her question of her being a goth was funny, it was an innocent question in itself, but it seemed she had gotten it wrong for the most part by the reply that came from her, so she was something else entirely, so if she wasn’t a goth what was she? Maybe she wasn’t even human? No, that was silly, supernatural things only existed in movies and comic books, not in the real world, still she was getting a very strange vibe from Achema, and whatever kind of being she was, she was definitely dangerous. “Ok so I guess I’ll call you a goth” she said placing her hands on her hips as she leaned slightly to one side, still trying to look un-phased by her, but this time she wasn’t succeeding as well, as she was starting to shake somewhat.
She asked it, what was she doing here? Good question, she wasn’t even sure herself, running away from home was never a good idea, especially when you didn’t have anywhere to run away too, and the park, albeit nice, didn’t have much shelter if it rained. If she hadn’t had that fight with Josh, and if her powers hadn’t activated themselves, she could have avoided this nightmare altogether. “I had a fight with my brother and....” she trailed of thinking about what she had said for a second, wait a minute, did she just call her vulnerable? “Hey I’m not vulnerable, I can take care of myself thank you very much!” she shouted forgetting her fears for the moment as her expression became one of anger.

Ok so I guess I’ll call you a goth. Another chuckle muffled, although this time simply done by her lips without the aid of her hand. This human had funny terms for the darker kind of beings...oh well. It would be more settling for the human to just think that was the explanation for her preference of the colors she wore, or her behaviour. Still...it was a bit amusing to think about what the girl's reaction might be to her real being, what she really was. A vampire, something thought to be mythical and exist only in scary stories and those horrifically inaccurate Hollywood movies that these fools liked to dish out for their very own entertainment. Afraid of garlic...of course, garlic was disgusting, but she couldn't think of a single actual vampire who would actually run screaming if someone threw a clove of garlic at their faces. Whatever fits your preference, she spoke halfheartedly. Goth, emo, whatever she wanted to call Achema, she didn't care. Absentmindedly, she lifted her bone white hand to examine her clear nails, twisting her hand back and forth with a bored expression on her face...she wondered what the girl would do if she let her claws be known, instead of hiding them. If she flashed her claws in a fake swipe at the girl's heart. Oh, it would scare the crap out of the poor girl...so funny, and so tempting. And yet...with a sigh, she let her arms cross restfully over her chest. A waste of time, to say the least, and pretty much pointless.
I had a fight with my brother and.... She waited a little while to hear the rest of that question, her scarlet eyes coming back to the girl's face with a sharp inquisitiveness that went far beyond her years. Well...appearance, since although she looked about eighteen, she was actually around 470 years old now. But, her waiting was in vain as the girl suddenly picked up on a new subject. Hey I’m not vulnerable, I can take care of myself thank you very much! A pearly grin came upon Achema's face as she laughed quietly and briefly. She supposed she would humor the girl...or herself. She needed a good laugh. Perhaps to some. But what is something, like persay...a vampire, attacked you. What would you do then?
((ah, the irony. xD))

(Sorry it's a bit short my muse is in the shop) Dawn frowned brushing her hands through her hair, as Achema examined her nails, was she really that boring to talk to? Not only was what she was doing incredibly rude, but it bothered her somewhat too, at least she had manners enough to keep looking at her, even if she’d rather leave and find something more interesting to do. She wasn’t really into socialising and avoided it as much as possible, and if Achema hadn’t snuck up behind her, they wouldn’t be talking now, so as far as she was concerned, she was an enemy already. She sighed deeply with frustration, could she go now? It sort of felt like a situation at school where the teacher would call you up in front of the class to write some nonsense on the blackboard and wouldn’t let you leave until you had finished completely, except instead of a teacher she had a goth or whatever Achema was, and she was asking more questions than Dawn desired to answer tonight. When she laughed Dawn’s anger and frustration grew, did she think it was funny, did she think she couldn’t take care of herself? True, she didn’t exactly have an athletic build, but she could fight if she had, she’d taken a year of karate...which had ended in a few broken bones and a bruised ego, but Achema didn’t know that, and that was what Dawn was counting on. “Hey I did karate I’ll have you know, I was one of the best in my class” she said, a blatant lie of course, she had never been that good at it. Lying was not exactly her strong point as she’d usually back out of a story at the last minute, changing it each time she retold it, but this time she was going to stick to it, regardless of how much pain it was probably going to cause her later. “Vampire? You’re kidding right? Vampires don’t exist, they’re in movies and books” she laughed a little before nodding her head as she thought about the possible scenario, she could take on a vampire from a movie, she’d seen Dracula, a pointy wooden stake and some holy water would get the job done, but then where would she get the holy water from. “I guess if they were real I’d probably use the good old holy water and stake, from what I see in movies they’re pretty effective” she said a thingyy smile on her lips now.

Out of the corner of her eyes, Achema could see Dawn's expression twist into one of frustration and annoyance. Her brow arched slightly at this reaction, wondering what might possibly be bothering the girl...she looked particularly ticked at her, but for what reason she couldn't exactly think of. Mentally, she shrugged...perhaps she had done something that had set the human off, she didn't know. Humans could be incredibly touchy sometimes, she had come to learn after a good while. Something about the human looked just a bit fidgety...perhaps she was in a hurry to get somewhere, although she couldn't really fathom anything in this city being particularly fun. Maybe that was just due to her being a vampire...ah, well. Hey I did karate I’ll have you know, I was one of the best in my class. Ah, so that's what she was getting so riled about. Achema took a second moment to quickly overlook the girl...she was small, that was for sure, and she didn't show any signs of being any sort of threat whatsoever. Although, she had seen many people, human or not, who proved to be a bit more than they appear. A few seconds of examination, and Achema simply shrugged her pale shoulders. I haven't seen you fight, but you certainly don't look like much...she said half-heartedly, swirling her hand nonchalantly in a motion to sync with her words. This would probably tick the human off a bit more...but, since when were the affairs and emotions of others important to her?
Vampire? You’re kidding right? Vampires don’t exist, they’re in movies and books. Achema looked to the side, pursing her lips and shrugged in a motion that said 'whatever-you-say'. Naive...this girl was sorely naive. She must have been quite sheltered in her days...then again, she knew very little people who recognized a vampire when they saw them. They usually passed the mythical beings off as emo, or...goth, for that matter. The thought of that made her giggle a little bit. Just to humor this girl, she might let her know what she was...she was sure the girl wasn't a threat. And, since when was her being a vampire a secret? It was only convenient when she was thirsty, and she didn't feel like chasing down the human she was after...even if, very few humans would believe her if she talked about meeting a vampire. After some thought...ah, why was she keeping this a secret, anyways? She didn't care who knew. I guess if they were real I’d probably use the good old holy water and stake, from what I see in movies they’re pretty effective. Oh, crap. If there ever was a moment in Achema's life that she came dangerously close to the edge of losing all calm composure and absolutely rolling on the ground in laughter, it was now. Even now, her insides tightened along with her chest as she fought ridiculously hard to keep the threatening laughter from bursting wildly through her throat, the back of her hand coming up to her mouth to aid in the process of staying silent. When she was sure she could speak again without losing all of her sanity, her facial features loosening and lessening to a mere smirk and a couple of after chuckles, she spoke in a voice that just held a bit of humor in it. You believe the lies Hollywood passes? Tell you what, I'll let you in on a little secret. She paused, bringing her words together in her head before speaking. 'Holy' water is useless, she emphasized on holy. I haven't ever even seen it. And stake's are no more effective than a knife or bullet. Achema let her stare lift to the full moon setting high in the night sky, the silver light glinting from her bright crimson eyes. Besides...how do you know vampires don't exist? This conversation was heading in a very interesting direction. [[hehe, sorry she's being a bit witchy xD don't take it personally ^^she's just not a nice girl. i doubt you would, but just saying anyways]]

(Don’t worry about it ^^ I know its just the charrie’s nature kinda like Dawn being a bit grouchy lol) Appearances could be deceiving didn’t Achema know that? Of course in the case of Dawn’s appearance she was right, she wasn’t exactly built for hand to hand combat not that she’d really tried before she knew well enough her own limitations, she could barely cause a bruise on her brothers skin let alone handle herself in a fight, but she’d learned over the years that if push came to shove anyone could fight, whether they were any good or not wasn’t really an issue, especially when dealing with life or death situations. “Yeah well you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover” she shouted angrily glaring at Achema now and having the urge to stick out her tongue, but that would just show her immaturity now wouldn’t it? If there was one thing Dawn hated it was showing just how young she was, but fourteen wasn’t that young really was it? Maybe Dawn was naive after all she didn’t believe in vampires and this girl was one, but then she didn’t know that fact, no she was pretty much still considering her a goth, or something like a goth at least. She had never really been given a ‘label’ although she was a self confessed geek, she loved computers and well she considered homework fun which didn’t bode well for making new friends at school since everyone else seemed to hate the homework, but no one had ever called her a geek, at least not to her face, which bothered her a little oddly, usually being called a geek was a bad thing but Dawn would happily be called one if it made people notice she existed sometimes, a little consideration that’s all she asked for. It wasn’t that she wanted to make friends with the popular crowd, or any crowd for that matter, but to be ignored completely, that wasn’t what she wanted at all, she may as well have had invisibility powers too. She snapped back to the real world at Achema’s question, how did she know they didn’t exist? Well she’d never seen one for a start, and she was the sort of person who wanted good solid proof before they would believe anything, even as a small child she refused to believe that Santa Claus existed, and was rather spiteful about it, telling other children, that had got her into some trouble with her parents but she didn’t really care, they didn’t have any proof and the men at the mall dressed as him were exactly that, men dressed as Santa, not the real thing. “I like proof of things before I believe, I mean, I’ve never seen a vampire and I don’t know anyone who has, and besides why would a vampire come here if they did exist, there’s nothing to do in this city” she said folding her arms across her chest again as she sighed deeply, this conversation was becoming boring.

Yeah well you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The girl's show of anger was the primary reason Achema kept prodding at her ego...it was amusing, and this was a bored night. She let the sides of her lips etch up slightly, although this time she didn't so much as snicker. It was amusing at first, but like all things with time, it became boring and ordinary after a while of listening. Now...it was beginning to get annoying, so she would stop poking the girl's ego for now. And what the girl said...true, usually. Although, Achema's version of 'judging' involved more than just scanning over the physical appearance. Her enhanced senses told her more about the girl: how strong her heartbeat was, the speed of her pulse, how much breath she took in. Her evaluations of strength were far, far more thorough than the average human's. And her evaluation? This girl, general-wise, held no skill...no obvious power. Although, the issue of whether or not she had a strange power to her as some others did was unknown, and she wasn't overlooking that. Then again...she wasn't worrying, either. She just shrugged in response to the girl's loud reply, the volume of her voice bringing a bit of uncomfort to her ears, although she showed no irritation or annoyance to the outburst. Sometimes, was her only response, half-hearted and nonchalantly muttered through her icy, calm breath, her gaze once again uninterestedly wandering elsewhere, her expression morphing into one of boredom and almost listlessness, as if she was staring at something far off. Her sharp eyesight caught the movement of a rabbit about one hundred yards away, the night not inhibiting her vision the least bit, rather only changing the color of the scenery.
I like proof of things before I believe, I mean, I’ve never seen a vampire and I don’t know anyone who has, and besides why would a vampire come here if they did exist, there’s nothing to do in this city. The voice of the girl brought Achema's attention back to her frail form, her sharp slitted eyes leering sharply at her still body once again. Her brow rose as she silently pondered the girl's response. So, she needed proof, did she? If Achema wanted, she could give the girl all the proof she could ask for. She could extend her wings from her back, flash her sharp claws right before the girl's face, and let her bloody fangs protrude down onto her upper lip, curling her lips back in a smiling snarl. She had entertained herself with that idea a few times...but, after further consideration, she would keep the girl thinking she was just a creepy human. More convenient for herself, especially when she might want the element of surprise on her side. She would rather her vampirism not spread across the city. If it did, it wouldn't be much of a problem, just a bit more hassle on her side. So...she would let this girl believe what she wanted to believe. Proof and logic can only carry you so far. The girl could take that statement however she wanted, but what good did proof and logic do when you began dealing with things that couldn't very well be proven by logic?
It was about this time that Achema began to feel the extreme effects of boredom. Her stare kept wandering off to other places, and she became irritated with the fact that she was getting nothing from this conversation. No information, no help...although it was entertaining for a little bit. With a sigh, she spoke again. I suppose I'll take my leave now. I've got other...matters, to attend to. She turned around, her silver hair whipping about in the air. Her footsteps on her concrete were fluid and silent, almost as if she was floating instead of actually walking on the ground. Over her shoulder, she spoke. Perhaps I'll see you around. If you're unlucky enough, she thought with a smirk. It wasn't long before she disappeared into the shadows, and when she was out of sight of the girl, she let her crimson wings spread with a sharp 'whoosh', and she flew into the night sky.

If she didn’t know any better Dawn could have sworn that this girl was trying to make her angry, it was almost as though she seemed to get off on making other people miserable, did she feed off of negative emotions or something? Yeah, that would be vampire like, and since she didn’t believe in them, she was going to go with her merely liking to torment people, a lot of people liked to do that, like it was fun. If she was the type who was more forward, Dawn might have said something about the obvious lack of interest Achema was showing in their conversation, ok, she could be hard headed at times and refuse to accept someone else’s views but at least she wasn’t rude enough to start looking around when she tired of a conversation, she just tended to be incredibly quiet for a while, at least until they realised something was wrong.
She sighed deeply, she could see where Achema was coming from, but in her experience logic was always the better thing to have, after all if it wasn’t for logic she might have believed that there were monsters in her closet.“Yeah well...logic is better than imagination, imagination gets you into trouble” she said turning her own attention away now her hair moving in front of her eyes as she stared at a nearby tree trying to look disinterested, two people could play the boredom game, even though Dawn wasn’t strictly speaking bored, more annoyed at the way Achema was acting, this was why she didn’t have friends, she couldn’t put up with normal human reactions, she didn’t see why she should have to since she wasn’t a normal human anyway, if only she knew that Achema was something other than human, she might have tried harder to get her to stay.
She turned her attention back to Achema as she spoke, noting the sigh, although she wouldn’t normally care, she could not help but wonder if she was really that boring? “Yeah...whatever” she said stiffly running her hands through her hair before making a light sound of annoyance, she could leave if she wanted to, but Dawn was going to be here for a while, well at least for tonight. Turning away from Achema she started towards a park bench which was shaded by a tree, well at least when she got up in the morning the sun wouldn’t be in her eyes. “Well...it could be worse” she said as she lay her rucksack on the bench before sitting on it herself, retrieving a pack of Oreos from the bottom of her bag, it was going to be a long night.
