Grey clouds hung low overhead of the city, casting somewhat of a serene shadow over the city. There was the low rumble of thunder, but there was not even the slightest sign of rain in the forecast. Odd, for weather...but that was because it wasn't normal weather. Rayne walked slowly on the sidewalk by all of the stores and boutiques, passing carelessly other people as they walked by. She received a few bewildered stares as people passing by looked strangely at the Egyptian symbol engraved on her forehead like a tattoo, and her strange maroon eyes. Although, she couldn't say she didn't see a few other people with red eyes...so she assumed it was just the strange mark on her face. Everytime she would receive a glance, she would tilt her head to the side, letting her mix of blonde and brunette sideswept bangs fall over the symbol to shroud it a bit more from the public. And the weather? She controlled it, for one thing; manipulating the weather was one of her powers. And, she needed it to be calm. She needed to keep her head a bit more clear than usual...Anubis had been wreaking more havoc in her head lately than usual, and she wanted to escape that. Thankfully, the demon was keeping quiet today. Perhaps he was finding some mercy...? No, impossible, that black mutt. She heard a slight growl and a short throbbing headache in response to the insult she mentally made within her mind, and only flinched a bit before holding in a chuckle, so she didn't seem schizophrenic. He was very touchy...another throb in her skull. Ha, this could go on for the rest of the day.
An enticing smell floated through the air, breaking her out of the focus she had on her mind. As if on cue, as the smell of warm pizza hit her nose, she felt a deep rumble take place in her stomach before she heard a rather loud, unruly growl coming from her abdomen. The skin of her nose and cheeks turned a nice cherry red as she looked down with a light cough, receiving a few chuckles from a couple of people who had been walking by her...okay, so she was hungry. With a sigh, she reached into the pocket of her darkwash blue jeans to pull out about ten dollars, enough to buy her a couple of slices of pizza and a drink to go along with it. With a ding, she pressed the door open to be greeted by a smile and welcome of the person up front. Hello, welcome to the pizza parlour. She returned a gentle, timid smile shortly in return along with a curt nod, before walking to one of the tables to sit down in a white cushioned chair. She rested her hands lightly on the table, her stomach giving another loud growl. She scowled downward, before someone walked to her table. How may I help you, miss? She looked up to see a brown-haired girl standing beside her table with a pad and pen in hand, along with that normal smile that you would find on every waiter or waitress. Without thought, she replied. Two slices of cheese pizza, and a Mr. Pibb, please. She received a nod in return from the lady before she turned away. She didn't make a strange face...Rayne thought before lifting a hand to her forehead. Ah, that's why. Her bangs covered the Egyptian emblem.
It wasn't long before a plate with pizza was sat before her with a quiet 'clink', along with a glass of soda. Thanks, she said quietly with another small smile, to be returned from the waitress along with a Have a nice day. Rayne started on the pizza, enjoying the hot flavor as it tamed the wild hunger in her stomach...this would count as clearing her head.

Keira skipped down the street, humming to herself in contentment. Her lustrous violet hair, which hung to her waist, swayed with every bouncing step she took. She smiled at everyone she passed by. Some smiled back, and others looked at her like she belonged in a mental institute. By some standards, perhaps she did. But then, were mood swings even considered a mental ailment here on Earth? She wasn't sure. Inwardly, she was seething with a sort of resigned resentment. She hated these mood swings. It was like, she could still control herself, and her mind worked fine, but it was as if her body said, "Okay. Here's the attitude with which you are going to do everything today." And she had no say in the matter. It was really irritating, to wake up and on random days know that you're going to act a certain way, even if you have no desire to, but she had learned to deal with it. As if she had a choice, which was part of the problem. d**n it, she couldn't even sigh in exasperation like she wanted to, because today her body had decided on childish happiness. So she continued to prance along, grinning like a five year-old who had just recieved what she wanted most for her birthday.
As she mader her way randomly through Jump City, she reflected on what had happened since she'd been there. The first memorable thing had been meeting KF and Rayne at the Carnival. Her smile grew broader; that had been fun. Then there had been that crap with Chiaki, Speedy, KF, and that other irritating girl who had screwed everything up, and finally, the incident with Winter and that Castor/Pollux character. His mental issues were certainly more serious than occasional mood swings. She gradually came to a stop as she heard her stomach growl. She grinned with giddiness, deciding to use this as an excuse to try out some wonderful Earth food. She looked around, and spied a building that looked like a restaurant. Resuming her humming and skipping, she quickly made her way over to it.
Opening the double glass doors, Keira bounced over to the counter, looked at the woman waiting to take orders, and said, "May I have something to eat, please?" The woman stared at her for a second, then composed herself, smiled, and said, "Of course, young lady." Both women stood there in silence for about three minutes. Finally, Keira asked, "Um...where's my food?" The woman at the counter didn't bother trying to hide her surprise this time. "Well, you have to order it first. See?" She pointed to the menu on the wall behind the counter. "Oh." Keira stared at the menu for about seven minutes, tapping her rainbow-painted nails on the counter. Finally: "May I have a small cheese pizza and a root beer?" The woman looked relieved. "Of course. Just take a seat, and we'll call you when your order is ready." Keira nodded happily and sat down at the nearest table. Not long after, her order was called out, and she jumped up to take it. "Thank you." Her gigantic smile just made the situation more awkward, especially because it wasn't the airplane-stewardess smile you plastered on your face; this was a genuine smile plastered on her face. It was really sad that the airplane-stewardess one was the one people were used to.
Keira was about to return to her table with her meal, when she spotted a familiar face and her smile frew so wide it seemed impossible that she could actually mean it. One thing was for sure; her cheeks were going to be sore tomorrow. Possibly for the next week. "Hey, Rayne!" She made her way over to the other girl's table. "What's up? Mind if I join you?"

Chewing on her pizza quietly, she looked up to observe her surroundings. She willed the clouds to stay overhead, and the calm but harmless rumbling of thunder to continue to soothe her mind. She swallowed the bit of pizza, and allowed her deep maroon eyes to close calmly as a blissful small smile formed on her lips, her head tilting down slightly to hide her eyes from the public. She wished every day was like this, with less people...this was perfect. Not too bright, and yet, not too dark. Thunderstorms always calmed her, so whenever she was around, there was usually a thunderstorm. She had watched how the weatherman on the news commented about how unusually stormy and cloudy the days had been lately, and she could only chuckle in being the only one knowing that she was the cause of it. Her mind was quiet...for a moment. I'm still here, you know, the deep, cackling voice of Anubis rung inside her mind. She visibly grimaced slightly, before gaining a calm facade again. I know. I haven't forgotten...no matter how much I wish I could. Another quiet little snicker in her head. I wouldn't let that happen... Mentally, she rolled her eyes in annoyance. Oh, she knew he wouldn't. That would be all too easy for her. The world would not be at balance if the demon inside her head would ever leave her alone for even a month...just one, peaceful, heavenly month she would thank God for for not having to deal with the annoying jackal. Why the Egyptians ever thought you were a god is beyond me, she thought with blatant disdain. The snicker she got in return was expected. Fear, my dear. Fear is a very powerful thing.
She was glady separated from her conversation with Anubis as she heard a familiar voice carry over the calm silence of the soft storm. Hey, Rayne! Her eyes opened slowly as her head rose, her fair hand rising to move her bangs from her eyes to get a better look at whoever chose to approach her at this moment. The strangely colored hair, same with the eyes...yes, she knew this girl, and it was a pleasant surprise that Rayne would run into her. Prism, the girl from the fair. Although...wait. Wasn't her hair a different color last time she saw her, as with her eyes? This caused Rayne to raise a brow in silent wonder, but she said nothing. She only allowed a small smile of recognition spread across her rosy lips, her eyes lighting up a bit at the sight of a new friend. Hey, Prism. This is a nice surprise. Prism looked...very happy today. I wonder what's on her mind, she thought silently to herself, half expecting a sarcastic remark on Anubis' side...she was absolutely ecstatic when she received none, but she kept that at a mental status.
What's up? Mind if I join you? She shook her head slightly, her brown and blonde hair swishing a bit around her shoulders with the motion. She motioned with her hand in a welcoming way for her to take a seat. Not at all. And, not much...just hungry right now, really. What about you?((this is my type of day. no rain, but a quiet cloudy thunderstorm...so relaxing! ) (EDIT: crap. wrong account. hope it's okay i can fix it if really necessary)

"Hey, Prism. This is a nice surprise. Not at all. And, not much...just hungry right now, really. What about you?"
Keira's smile remained in place, seeing as it couldn't get any bigger without splitting her head in half, and she pulled out a chair at Rayne's table. She set her food down, then seated herself, smoothing her knee-length white skirt with her hands, her skin appearing so pefectly tanned, it looked like gold in the right light. Scooting her chair forward, she said, "Not much. I've stopped a few petty crimes here and there, ran into a few strange characters, but nothing major." Her smile disappeared for a moment, because otherwise it would have been impossible for her mouth to contort itself into a shape that was able to maintain it and take a bite of pizza at the same time. Her eyes widened, and she eagerly snatched up the cup containing her drink, and took a gulp an instant after she had swallowed her food. Once her mouthful of liquid had also vanished, she squealed with excitement. "This is wonderful! What is pizza made out of? And root beer! She attacked her meal with such enthusiasm, the many people who had turned to stare at her after her exclamation of pleasure at her meal must have thought she was dying of starvation and thirst. She somehow managed to retain her dignity throughout her vigorous consumption of her meal.
After she had finished, she turned her shining eyes to Rayne again. "C'mon, something must have happened to you since we last met! Did you meet any interesting people?" She giggled. "One of the guys I met was a total nutcase. Some boy who could control wind and had a split personality because some old deity who liked to cause mischief is inhabiting his body. Insane, huh?" She laughed. "What am I saying? Look at us! Like what we can do is any more normal than wind control and possessive spirits." Little did she know how directly that last comment related to the girl in front of her. Thankfully, her mood swings did not affect her common sense, and she kept her voice low enough so that only Rayne would hear what she was saying.
"I'll be right back," she said abruptly, and stood up. She disposed of her trash, then walked up to the counter again. The same woman was there, but she looked relieved when Keira simply ordered a small hawaiin pizza and a Fresca. She paid for her food, then returned to her table with Rayne and attacked her food again. After a few bites, she wiped her mouth on a napkin and said, "You're probably wondering why I'm acting like a seven year-old hopped up on Nerds, huh?" Keira had discovered Nerds quite recently. Another delightful invention that humans had come up with.
((I tried not to make her come across as too Starfire-y, but still act overly happy and excited. It's the easiest mood swing of hers' for me to write. I think I'll try depression or bitterness next.))

Not much. I've stopped a few petty crimes here and there, ran into a few strange characters, but nothing major. She just sat and nodded, listening to Prism's excited discription of her life from the time that they had met in the carnival. It was pretty obvious that her friend was pretty much bouncing off the walls right now, having trouble even keeping planted in her own seat. It made Rayne a bit uneasy, truthfully...she wasn't used to being around people this excited. She had only seen kids this hyper, usually after they tore through a few hundred packs of pure sugar candy, or something of that sort. Sounds like you've become quite the superhero, she said with a smile on her face, her voice chiming with a small bit of cheerfullness that sounded new and unused, like a treasure being pulled out of a trunk in the attic, dusty but still pretty all the same. She didn't use that tone of her voice a bit, but she supposed it was because she was trying to hold in the laughter of Prism's uncontainable hyperness. Then, she found her maroon eyes going a bit wide as she braced her hands against the table to push her chair back a bit, articles of food flying everywhere as Prism suddenly tore rabidly...and she did mean rabidly...through her food, as if she hadn't eaten in decades. Rayne's lips curled back to reveal her teeth in a wide, surprised grimace, wide to match her eyes. This is wonderful! What is pizza made out of? And root beer! She dodged a couple more pieces of food flying through the air before she sunk down into her seat a bit, an awkward half-smile on her lips as she spoke quietly, still a bit shocked. Umm...cheese, and bread? And...hehe...yeah, it's pretty good.
C'mon, something must have happened to you since we last met! Did you meet any interesting people? Her friend's shouting caused her to wince in her seat just a small bit, her eyes still a bit wide in a wonderous, curious sort of way. She took a moment of thought to remember who she might have met. Well, I did meet this guy with a sword...he didn't talk much though. Then again, she couldn't say anything...she wasn't the biggest talker in the world, either. It was a wonder for her to hold a conversation an hour long, something she had done very few times. She supposed she wasn't the most social person. Not because she hated humanity, she was just a pretty shy person, when it came to meeting new people and speaking to them. One of the guys I met was a total nutcase. Some boy who could control wind and had a split personality because some old deity who liked to cause mischief is inhabiting his body. Insane, huh? What am I saying? Look at us! Like what we can do is any more normal than wind control and possessive spirits. This time, Rayne's eyes twitched and widened a bit for another reason...this person had pretty much the same problem as she did. Hey, we should find this person...you'll have a playmate, the hideous dark voice in her head chuckled. She payed no attention to it, but only mused silently to herself. He...he does have the same problem as me. She realized that she had been quiet for a moment, and blurted out something rather suddenly. Yeah! That is...insane. And...yeah, I suppose so. Then again, she really hadn't seen Prism's powers to their extent. You're probably wondering why I'm acting like a seven year-old hopped up on Nerds, huh? Rayne let a few quiet chuckles come from her throat before replying. Well, it crossed my mind.[/color]

"Sounds like you've become quite the superhero."
Keira shrugged, still grinning, but it was quite tame compared to her gigantic smile a few minutes ago. "Not really. I mean, I guess you could call me that, but I'm not famous or anything like the Titans. I haven't done anything as important as them either. Still, everything makes a difference, right?" Her smile grew wider again. "Do you know where they are? I've been looking for them. If I could get one of those communicator things, it would come in really handy." She could tell her excessive cheerfulness was slightly unnerving her friend, but she couldn't help it. But she was glad to see that her happiness was infectious. Rayne was loosening up, cracking a grin once in a while and even laughing quietly. She couldn't help laughing herself as she saw her friend twitch here and there to avoid stray specks of food that were flying around because of Keira's feeding frenzy.
"Umm...cheese, and bread? And...hehe...yeah, it's pretty good. Well, I did meet this guy with a sword...he didn't talk much though."
"Cheese and bread? Cool! I love how creative humans can be! The things they make are absolutely genius! And there's so much more than food!" She finished her food, then got up and dumped the garbage in the nearest trash can before returning to the table. Now that the excitement of food discovery had died down, she was somewhat more mellow. "A guy with a sword? Weird. Is it even legal for civilians to carry those?" She giggled. "Didn't talk much, huh? Sounds like you guys would get along." She nodded as Rayne replied to her most recent rapid-fire question.
"Well, it crossed my mind."
"Thought so." She paused a moment to collect her scattered thoughts. They tended to get like that when the happiness mood swing was in use. "Ever since I was born, I've suffered from mood swings. They're really weird too. They last for an entire day, and it's just one dominating emotion when it happens. It's totally random; I can never tell when it's going to happen, but as soon as I wake up, if it's one of those days, I know right away. It's usually a safe bet that I'll have one every ten days or so." She giggled. "Anyway, today it's joy, so that's why I'm acting like a complete ditz. If I was my normal self, I would have explained this without all of the unnecessary giggling. The smiling and laughing would have been toned down too." So saying, she giggled again. "I've learned to roll with it, since there's nothing I can do about it." Quite out of the blue, a thought struck her. "Hey, we didn't get much chance to talk about it at the Carnival, but do you know what happened to the pizza place?" The fact that they were eating pizza had reminded her. Surprise. "All I gathered was that two boys and two girls tore the place apart, and they were all..." She searched for the right word. "Gifted." Eh, it would have to do.

Not really. I mean, I guess you could call me that, but I'm not famous or anything like the Titans. I haven't done anything as important as them either. Still, everything makes a difference, right? Rayne just nodded, a little bit at a loss for words, what with her friend's strange hyperness and all. It was just a bit weird, but she supposed it was having a positive effect on her. It lifted her mood just a bit, to watch someone so excited over something as small as a slice of pizza. Do you know where they are? I've been looking for them. If I could get one of those communicator things, it would come in really handy. She thought for a moment, wondering...nope, she hadn't seen them anywhere. It would be an interesting notion, joining the Titans, though. Hm...nope. Anubis might break loose, and that would just mess everything up. This thought made her face drop just a small bit, but she picked it back up with a smile, hoping Prism hadn't quite noticed. The last thing she wanted was to have someone else worrying about her problems. I suppose it would be a good way to communicate, Rayne said thoughtfully. She glanced back down at the plate below her...she had only eaten half of once slice. With a quiet sigh, not so much agitation but a calming sigh, she picked up the slice and resumed eating it. Hey, she was a slow eater...although that really couldn't be compared to the way Prism was wolfing down her food. Come to think of it, she had seen rabid wolves eat a bit slower than that.
Cheese and bread? Cool! I love how creative humans can be! The things they make are absolutely genius! And there's so much more than food! She rose a brow as Prism still worked on the plate of food, the art of dodging thrown pepperonis and bits of cheese now becoming more easy. ...yeah. Very...creative? she said unsurely as she watched her friend. Should I be concerned that she's going to choke...? she mused quietly to herself. A guy with a sword? Weird. Is it even legal for civilians to carry those? Didn't talk much, huh? Sounds like you guys would get along. She just smiled and nodded to that comment...she was a bit on the quiet side, but not because she didn't like people. Ever since I was born, I've suffered from mood swings. They're really weird too. They last for an entire day, and it's just one dominating emotion when it happens. It's totally random; I can never tell when it's going to happen, but as soon as I wake up, if it's one of those days, I know right away. It's usually a safe bet that I'll have one every ten days or so. Anyway, today it's joy, so that's why I'm acting like a complete ditz. If I was my normal self, I would have explained this without all of the unnecessary giggling. The smiling and laughing would have been toned down too. She struggled to catch all of these fast words as they flew like the food she was eating from her mouth, putting them into complete sentences the best she could. She caught most of it though, and found herself only able to nod. So...she had mood swings. Was she...bipolar, or something? Nope, she wasn't going to ask that. That would be pretty rude, and pretty stupid, if you asked her.
Hey, we didn't get much chance to talk about it at the Carnival, but do you know what happened to the pizza place? All I gathered was that two boys and two girls tore the place apart, and they were all...gifted. Rayne absentmindedly placed her finger at the bottom of her chin, humming in thought as she tried to remember. She hadn't been there at the time, but she had read about it in the newspaper...pizza place torn down by mutants, or something of that sort. She heard different things...Well, I did hear a little bit about it. Two of them could control shadows. One was normal looking, and they said the other looked a little bit like...a demon? I don't know, that's just what I heard. This other girl could supposedly make plants out of wierd things she saw...I heard she even turned into some kind of powerful spirit thing. And the other was...hmm, this is going to sound ridiculous. To Rayne, nothing sounded ridiculous, but she didn't know how many encounters with dark beings Prism had experienced. I heard she was a vampire. Hehe...stupid, probably, but it's what I've heard from some people.

"I suppose it would be a good way to communicate."
Keira giggled and combed her fingers through her hair, which had become somewhat disheveled during the excitement of eating her food. "Well, yeah. They're communicators. That's why I want one. So I can become an Honorary Titan. Then I could talk with the Titans and they could help me with stuff, or I could at least warn them about certain people." She laughed. "You know that split personality guy? The Titans don't even know about him yet because I haven't had the time to tell them." She managed to remain quiet for a few minutes as Rayne began eating her own meal again. She knew that her friend wasn't used to the type and amount of energy that Keira was projecting, but she wasn't totally uptight about it. She was dealing with the situation quite gracefully, actually. The fact that Keira had explained why she was acting like a Starfire clone probably helped. She soon felt the inclination to speak again. Poor Rayne. "You can ask me about my mood swings or stuff like that if you want to. I don't mind." She figured her mood swings would make for an interesting topic for the conversation. Keira listened to Rayne hum for a moment as she collected her thoughts before answering Keira's most recent question.
"Well, I did hear a little bit about it. Two of them could control shadows. One was normal looking, and they said the other looked a little bit like...a demon? I don't know, that's just what I heard. This other girl could supposedly make plants out of weird things she saw...I heard she even turned into some kind of powerful spirit thing. And the other was...hmm, this is going to sound ridiculous. I heard she was a vampire. Hehe...stupid, probably, but it's what I've heard from some people."
Keira shook her head. "It doesn't sound ridiculous. Like I said earlier; look at us. In light of that, it's not too far-fetched to think that vampires exist." Light. Haha. She smiled the entire time she said this, but her mind was processing what Rayne had told her. Just because her mood swing was dictating she do everything with a certain attitude didn't mean she couldn't speak intelligently. She just did it with a lot of added laughs and giggles. "Hey the two shadow-controlling people were guys, right? Do you know anything else about them?" I needed to ask. I always do. There's always a slight chance... While she waited for Rayne to respond, she bounced up and down in her chair. The hard plastic the chair was made of made her butt sore, but her seemingly endless happiness didn't allow her to notice. After a few minutes of that, she jiggled her leg up and down on the tiled floor. Next she plucked at the sleeve of her tie-dyed rainbow t-shirt.
Growing bored with her own antics, she leaned toward Rayne and said, "So, what powers do you have?" Immediately after, she added "You don't have to answer that. This particular mood swing gives me a lot of energy. One effective way to channel it is to ask questions." She kept her voice lowered as she spoke. Just because she was experiencing a mood swing didn't mean it did away with her common sense. Unless Rayne specifically told her it was O.K. to let people know she had powers, she would protect that knowledge. As she sat there, she nodded at Rayne's pizza. "Once you finish that, you wanna do something fun in the city?" She giggled yet again. man, that was annoying. She felt sorry for Rayne, having to put up with this.

Well, yeah. They're communicators. That's why I want one. So I can become an Honorary Titan. Then I could talk with the Titans and they could help me with stuff, or I could at least warn them about certain people. She stopped mid-bite, hesitating for a moment of thought...so, she was going to join the Titans? That sounded good...very interesting actually. Although, she couldn't really say that for herself. While being a part of a superhero team was quite a priveledge, and something she thought might be fun to do, she wasn't really solidly on the side of good. She was, neutral, I suppose you could say? Well, she herself was pretty much on the good side, but the demon within her kept her from being solidly away from darkness. If she was under any extreme emotion, especially anger, or if her life was threatened, Anubis would reveal himself through her body. Which would spell disaster for anyone around her...but, that sounded good for Prism. She resumed her eating, and nodded in response to Prism's statement. You know that split personality guy? The Titans don't even know about him yet because I haven't had the time to tell them. She just shrugged in response, and spoke. They'll probably hear about him soon enough. I hear they have a pretty good watch on the city. Of course, she just assumed this. If they were going to be superheroes, didn't the have to be aware of everything going around in the area that they were protecting? Then again, they hadn't come after those villians who tore down the old pizza shop...oh, well. The new one, she recently observed, was much prettier.
ou can ask me about my mood swings or stuff like that if you want to. I don't mind. She swallowed the food she had in her mouth, and hummed in thought, trying to think of a question...she wasn't really a prying person, so thinking of a question to every issue someone brought up wasn't something she was very used to doing. It took a few minutes, but one finally popped into mind. Do they get annoying? Okay, not the best question, but hey...she wasn't used to quizzing anyone. She was never the nosy type of person, assuming everyone's business was their own, and that she shouldn't prod at it. It might have taken a bit longer to think of a more reasonable question...You're pitiful, the familiar dark voice in her mind echoed only to her. She mentally scoffed. Look who's stuck inside my mind, she thought a bit smugly. In response, she got a quick stabbing pain in her head, but her face barely flinched. She was used to that, because she got tired of that jackal smarting off to her. If she didn't say anything, he would go on...and if she did, she got a headache, some more severe than others. He could do a lot of things in her mind, but thankfully, they had a truce...she would give him peace, and in return he wouldn't torture her. She doubted he would keep his word, but with thought and experience, she found that for him to be his strongest, she also had to be healthy. So, he had to leave her be, most of the time. Of course, there were those days every now and then that he would let loose...she hated those days.
It doesn't sound ridiculous. Like I said earlier; look at us. In light of that, it's not too far-fetched to think that vampires exist. She thought about it...a girl carrying a demon within her, healing powers, and the ability to control weather, and another one with hair that seemed to...change, along with the eyes. No doubt she had some kind of ability as well, although she really hadn't witnessed it yet. I suppose you're right...it could be true, she said almost to herself thoughtfully, gazing off in the distance for a moment before returning her attention to Prism. She had to...the girl was talking again. Hey the two shadow-controlling people were guys, right? Do you know anything else about them? She remembered reading about it in the newspaper...although the pictures were horrible and poor quality, she guessed they were moving to fast for the camera, it was apparent their gender. Um, I'm pretty sure the two were guys, but that's all I know about it. It happened kind of a long time ago, so the buzz about it's kinda died out a bit. She had barely come to this city a couple of days after it happened, she knew because it was all over the papers and the top subject of conversations about it. Now, all you heard in reference were a few strange lunatics walking around, announcing that it was a sign that the apocalyse was coming...hm. You never know, she supposed.
So, what powers do you have? You don't have to answer that. This particular mood swing gives me a lot of energy. One effective way to channel it is to ask questions. Rayne brought her hand to her lips as she muffled her chuckles. No, it's no problem. Well, most of it wasn't...she would give Prism the basics. She looked up, her maroon eyes glowing just the slightest bit...you would have to really focus to notice. As soon as she did, the temperature around them dropped significantly...and small white flurries began falling from the sky. It was light, and beautiful. Rayne kept the snow in a small quantity, just enough to last through the day. She looked around, and laughed to herself as she saw people gazing up in awe, little kids rejoicing about the surprise snow as the adults were mostly mystified by the sudden change. A moment ago, it was just lightly thundering and cloudy. Now, it was cold and slightly snowy. Rayne held out her hand, letting a few flurries land into her hand before they melted on her skin. I control weather. I can also heal, but there's no one to demonstrate that on, thankfully. she smiled at the last statement. A couple more things. As well as being an empath, I control others' emotions. I can make them feel happy, sad, or angry for no reason. And...she hesitated, and suddenly her eyes changed. They turned a vivid goldish green, with a slit as the pupil, before quickly going back to normal again. I can't change into an animal altogether, but I can obtain certain features of any animal that seems appropriate at the time. She wondered what powers Prism might have...interesting, no doubt. If you don't mind my asking, what powers do you have? She hoped she wasn't overstepping any boundaries with that one. She was always so afraid of asking something she shouldn't. Once you finish that, you wanna do something fun in the city? Rayne nodded, her brown and blonde hair beginning to glisten a bit from the snow that was now falling. Sure, sounds fun.
