Personality
Wally loves to do things quickly, often acting without thinking first. Well, that’s according to those around him; he is able to act and think at the same time, both at amazing speeds as only a Flash can use. Forever the optimist, he likes to find the light at the end of the preverbal tunnel, so to speak. He doesn’t want to think that anyone can be truly evil, no matter appearances. Along with this is the always present grin that can make people around him both annoyed and relieved.
He is a big joker, using his speed to pull pranks and be somewhere else in the city/tower at the “same” time. He tends to abuse this idea, constantly rushing around to get things done to the point where he gets too far ahead of the others. Because of his speed, his metabolism is “off the charts” and he is almost always in need to consume food to keep his power going. This also makes him light weight, much to the pleasure of his Rouges; if they catch him, they can throw him further than they hate him.
Despite that minor setback, he finds it rather easy to make friends, and is very loyal to those he meets. He refuses, flatly, to leave any of his team behind whether they are still on his side or not. His sense of justice over rules anything else that he might have ingrained into him, and will even break laws to see that this evenhandedness is done. To him, the world is black and white, with many splotches of whitish-gray.
History
Wally grew up in a house where he and his father never really got along, so he tried to be out of it as much as he could; spending a lot of time with his aunt Iris in Central. There, he learned of a Super Hero calling himself The Flash, and instantly became a hero-worshiper (no pun intended) like many children his age. Like all other children that love Flash, they always wanted to meet him in person; at the time, Wally didn’t know he was doing so almost every day. When Wally was ten years old, he became interested in visiting his aunt’s fiancé’s office, where he was part of an accident that would have killed him had he not been in the right place at the right time. Drenched in chemicals, he was struck by lightning that came through the window of his uncle’s police lab, gifting him with the power of speed much like it had done to his soon-to-be-uncle years before.
Learning then that the man that was coming into his family was The Flash, Wally quickly learned as much about his powers as possible, though he never quite got a grip completely on how they worked. Taking up a red suit much like his mentor’s, he called himself Kid Flash to become basically a side-kick. After a while, he found it difficult to be the same look, being treated like a mini-me (not my word!) so he changed from a red outfit to a red and yellow.
Some time after, he took over his own part of town, going between Central and Keystone to be able to help his friend and uncle, Flash. After some patrolling, he came across the Titans, where he worked with them from time to time but never stuck around after taking down the villains to be asked to join the group. However, he did join them in the end, spending a lot of time at the tower as well as by his mentor’s side. Unlike most of his other titans, he actually gets along with his older counterpart.
